The NCAA could have kept the revenue sharing number at 20 million and then be done with the rest of the NIL collective stuff. They could have done a whole lot of things differently.

no they can not. unless they make the players employees they can not stop true 3rd party nil. its in the settlement.

Collectives are not third party if the microphone literally holds the collective brand

or constant advertisements on campus?

It’s making $5 mil this year vs $5 mil over the life of his rookie contract.

Local judge won’t have jurisdiction. I’ll bet a 6 month suspension he never plays another down for Ole Miss.

There’s 30 year old punters. Hell, LSU had one. I know it years and not age and yes it’s weird that a guy Chambliss’s age wants to be in college still, but it’s likely his last year to earn real money. Let him play

The sad part is the attorney knows his case is shite and his only hope is for a biased Mississippi state judge to rule in their favor.
He's not even a state judge, he's a local county chancery court judge in Oxford.

A county chancery court judge is a state court judge bud. What did you think a state court judge was?

The deal is we all have had a lot of players that didn't get to play an extra year and even some who tried but were denied by the NCAA. Why should OM get to cheat the rules and get their guy to play by using a local judge to skirt fairness?

Just like OM cheating to get their recruits eligible, when others went without because we didn't cheat.

He is a judge in the state, but every county has a chancery court. So his jurisdiction should be just Lafayette County, not all of Mississippi. If that still counts as a "state judge", than I was wrong.

You are wrong. Chancery Judges cover districts comprising several counties. Judge Whitwell is one of two Chancellors for the 18th district which covers five counties. He is a “state judge,” not a county judge.

Throat problems in 2022.

They were so debilitating that he couldn't file for a medical redshirt for three years.
