Lawrence went 27 of 43 for 289 yards; 62.8% - against ACC bottom dweller Syracuse

Jones was 25 of 31, 80.6 % 387 yards against an average SEC defense

When can we quit pretending Lawrence is the greatest pro QB prospect in the history of football?

Lawrence depends on his receivers to make plays for him a lot more than people want to admit.

He was not very good against good competition last season.

Glad someone finally said it. The LSU game is a prime example. He cannot hit targets accurately. Missed a ton of passes in the Natty, got frustrated and started to turn it over.

Not saying he isn’t good but let’s stop pretending he is Joe Burrow.

Hell, I've been saying it for 2 years. Glad other people are starting to figure it out.

Hush, let the media feed Clemson the rat poison. They are after all unbeatable and Sunshine is the greatest qb to ever play the game. Add the media hype and when they destroy Notre Dame, those fools will think they really beat a top team. They will start to lag in practice thinking they are invincible. Just let them get set up for a change and not us.

He ended up hitting some big passes against Ohio State but barely completed 50% of his passes in that game too.

He is a big 50/50 guy. He usually has the receivers to pull it off. I think that playing field is more toned down this year with his stable.

Well, I’d way rather bang Lawrence

I think that’s why he’s my heisman

I feel like Lawrence is getting hype mostly because of his recruiting background and the one Alabama game a couple years ago.

He's good don't get me wrong but sometimes I feel like he gets way more hype than he should.

If CFB pundits just looked at the numbers instead of the narrative, Mac Jones has had a better season than Trevor Lawrence this season and it hasn't even been close. Mac has a much higher completion percentage, yards per attempt, yards per completion, and passer rating than Lawrence against superior competition this season. The only edge Lawrence has over Mac is touchdowns but that's primarily due to the fact that Mac doesn't vulture any touchdowns. Mac only has two TDs from inside the 10 yard line this season while Najee Harris already has 14 rushing touchdowns. He could have easily thrown for four or five TDs against Tennessee this Saturday. Instead, he had none because they were feeding Najee and Brian Robinson in goal to go situations.

This is a not so subtle Joe Burrow thread since it was started by you isn't it?

He is still living off a game where he torched bum arse Savion Smith repeatedly and Bama got ZERO pressure on him

Clemson fans explained to me his receivers this year suck. They way they talk about them is as if Lawrence’s supporting cast is the equivalent of UTSA’s.
