Saban used TR in the late 4th qt when State's D was worn out and tired to run Trent 25 straight time in the shot gun to jack up his total yardage

Funny...I thought Saban was running the ball to try to drain clock. The drive started with like eight minutes left. Eddie Lacy finished it off with a minute and a half to go with a 32-yard run. Had Saban wanted to pad Richardson's stats he would have had Richardson and not Lacy score that touchdown.

Here we go, more delusional Bama fans. Look up some stats every now and then. You will see that TR is barely in the top ten in rushing yds, and not even leading in TDs. He is not leading in one single category, so therefore WHY should he?

TR only had 56 yards at that time. Yes, Saban was padding his stats. He let the other play since TR had reached his average.....
State had held TR for 3 qts for only 56 yards......against State.....

no he is not a HTC.....

He will need to get around 200 yards on Auburn.

If Lil Nicky gives him at least 12 carries, that should happen.

Trent and Luck are the two best players in the country. You only need your eyeballs to tell you that.

Still think he's going to be a longshot because of the Luck love.

I agree. Luck still has to play Cal next week. TR3 is a marked man and still manages to get yards in bunches. Depends on how many of the voters actually see him play...

Trent 1523 yds and 19 TD's

Not too shabby and under 400 yds and 1 TD from what Ingram had in 09.

The guys on SportsCenterU all agreed that the Weedan is in the lead for the Heusman and it's his to lose. Ok St beats OK and he wraps it up.

Heisman voters agree he's 4th or 5th on the list going into yesterday.

The 32 carries for 3.9 ypc will stick out to a lot of voters. Having three game with less then 100 yards would normally hurt a Heisman Candidate, but Ingram had 5 games the year he won it. Richardson can pad his stats against the next two teams, but that would probably turn some voters off. I think has to play in the SECCG and have big stats against GA to win it.

Somebody will eventually point out that while he is a pretty good player he is throwing against HS defenses...

Richardson is a beast and is the best running back in the country hands down. That dude deserves the Heisman but I think they still give it to Luck.

Key word, BEFORE yesterday. 31-37 with 497 yards and 5 TD's against a team which beat Oklahoma will change some minds.

He was going to win it if Bama went undefeated. Don't see him winning it now unless he just goes off against Auburn.

Saban could give a shite about stats. I have seen this time and time again. McElroy was only 13 yards away from becoming the first Alabama QB to throw for 3,000 yards in a season in the Capital One Bowl last year. He pulled him at the start of the fourth quarter and put McCarron in.

With eight minutes to go, only up by 10 to a scrappy MSU team, you run the ball. Richardson just so happened to be our starting RB. Of course he's going to get the carries. Not only that, but McCarron would wait until the play clock was down to one or two seconds before he snapped the ball. The whole purpose of that drive was to run the clock out and get out of the game with a victory.
