Alabama still has to get by Penn State's litany of terrible RBs in the league.
Let's compare
Mark Ingram
Trent Richardson
TJ Yeldon
Ki-Jana Carter
Curtis Enis
Blair Thomas

Shaun Alexander = Jamal Lewis & Foster combined.
100 touchdowns to 103 combined

I hear this crap all the time. The NFL is pass first and has been since for 30 years. The object of the running game is to keep the defense honest and the RB has to be able to pick up the blitz, block, and slip out of the backfield for the safety valve pass.

Is this where I say I don't care about the NFL?

Why hasn't Lacy been mentioned? He's tearing it up in Green Bay. He very likely will be the best of the three. But I wouldn't write Richardson off just yet. Ingram is likely done.

So why is Richardson failing?

Lacy has been a pleasant surprise.

Why do multiple "sure things" fail when it comes to the NFL.
When you figure that out, go be a GM for an NFL team, you'll make lots of money.

His talent is obvious, but he seems to not get out of his own way. I think it is mental, but being in Cleveland and jumping over in Indy midstream hasn't helped.

Because he was #61 pick and there wasn't much hype about him in college. Trent was #3 pick

Tennessee fans should know that when you have a multitude of high draft picks, you're going to have busts. UT wasn't without them during the height of the Fulmer era. But you're also still living off guys he sent there years ago.

And undrafted RB Arian Foster turned out to be the best RB in the league.
Peterson, MCCoy and Charles are better than Foster

This will go a long way in helping Tennessee this weekend.

Richardson will put together a nice dossier when his career is done.
He was drafted too high but he is a solid pro.

Super Bo
Hope the link gets through. Obviously biased as an AU fan, but if you are looking for the best RB to ever come out of the SEC, it is this guy. Herschel could have been there too, if he had gone to the NFL. Emmitt has to be number 2, given what he accomplished over his career. You youngsters will never really understand what it was like to watch Bo and Herschel run the ball.
