Carlton Davis-CB all day long. He had a great freshman year...but a sophomore slump. He's killing it this year.

This is almost taboo, because Scott has been a given in these lists for 3 years, but you could make a really strong argument for Logan Cooke as Punter. Last I checked he only had like 5 punts returned total for less than 10 yards.

JK Scott has 36 punts for a 42.6 AVG. 11 50+ yard punts with 20 downed inside the 20. There have been 4 punts returned for 5 yards.

Logan Cooke has 39 punts for a 44.0 AVG. 12 50+ yard punts with 15 downed insider the 20. There have been 8 punts returned for 34 yards.

I do not have information on hang time.

QB: Nick Fitzgerald. I know he's not the most polished, but out of all the quarterbacks in the SEC he's the one I would want leading my team.

He also has the best total qbr of all the SEC qb's, one ahead of Hurts nationally. Hurts' ability to always put his team in a position to win, and always makes the plays when it counts the most, is something that does not show up in stats, but is reflected in his win/loss record. Even in Bama's one loss with Hurts. When he left the playing field, Bama had the lead on a td he scored personally. I would take Hurts over Fitz, but the stats say Fitz is slightly more effective than Hurts.

Aaron Davis for the last CB spot. He's played every DB position in his career, he's a senior, started in 2014 as a walk-on, earned playing time off the scout team, earned scholly, survived three different DC's in his college career, and is a leader on the team.

Who wins the QB spot comes down to the last two games. If Auburn beats Bama it doesn’t matter who has the best stats Stidham wins. If Bama wins it will come down to Hurt and Lock.

If the voters go by stats it will be Lock. If they go by wins Hurts wins.

Who has a better Oline? Who has done more with less? If these go into consideration it will be Lock.

It comes down to the Iron Bowl for Stidham and how the voters view stats vs. team with Lock and Hurts.

I'm not sure that is accurate

It's per the NCAA website through 10 games. They are both almost the same in Net Punting too.

Either way, both have been very good.

Funny how the QB has to be on a good team. Drew Lock has like 800 yards more and 14 more tds than the next closest. But his team blows so frick him.

Nah, his numbers against teams not named Idaho, UConn and Missouri State are what frick him. They are good, but they aren't at the top of the league.

QB Rating Vs P5 Teams
1. Jake Fromm (169.09)
2. Jarrett Stidham (161.61)
3. Danny Etling (144.00)
4. Jalen Hurts (140.03)
5. Drew Lock (136.66)

QB Rush Yards Per Game vs P5
1. Nick Fitzgerald (79.50)
2. Kellen Mond (50.43)
3. Jalen Hurts (49.88)
4. Stephen Johnson (46.29)
5. Cole Kelley (11.67)

That makes a lot of sense. I think team success and racking up passing yards from being behind in a lot of games, will go against Locke and work to the benefit of Stidham in the end, imo.. I feel it's either Hurts or Stidham, depending on their play in the Iron Bowl.

I would throw Isaiah Wynn in one of the tackle spots. Converted guard but has played about as well as you can ask him to at LT

I thought the team won those games. So the run first, pass rarely and play defense to win team was put in a position to win all those games by the QB eh? Tell me more about football.

Players develop differently over time for a variety of reasons. Either way, Johnson is better than Guice right now, and so is Harris.

Nice backtrack from your there is no evidence to support putting Guice ahead of Johnson or Harris. If you're not used enough (for whatever "variety of reasons") to get even nine carries a game, you're not a first team running back. Johnson is a no brainer for first team; the second spot is up for debate and Guice most certainly belongs in the discussion. Way more than Harris.

I think the QB situation at OM has something to do with Lock's lack of respect. Folks look at numbers like Lock and Shea were putting up, then they see a backup in Oxford putting up the same numbers and decide those numbers are a product of the system instead of the arm talent.

Shea and Lock have the best arm talent too though, as far as I can tell
