Averaging 8.4 yards per carry. Pretty awesome. And better than Guice at pretty much everything.
Sounds like Guice in 2015.

No, I have the ability to read numbers.
Numbers mean absolutely nothing when comparing a better back. Yes Harris has a higher YPC and more touchdowns. He also has a better offensive line, hasn't been injured half of the year, and isn't locked on every time hes out there because Alabama has a better passing game then LSU.
A healthy Guice is the best back in the league.

Either way, Johnson is better than Guice right now, and so is Harris.
Currently:
Guice----924---5.7
Johnson--1035--5.2
Harris---823---8.4
Not even considering Guice's being injured, he has already played against the good rush defenses on the schedule (Bama, Auburn) and places between Johnson and Harris. With Tenn and AtM left he should have some good games left.
Johnson has played Ga (very respectable 167 5.0), but has Bama left to play. If he does well there, he should be the number 1 guy.
If you look at who Bama has played to this point, it isn't surprising Harris has such a good YPC. Hasn't played Auburn or Georgia, and obviously doesn't have to worry about playing Bama. LSU held him to 33 yards. If Harris has a high YPC against Auburn/Ga then he can say something, but until then he hasn't proven he is better or even in Guice's neighborhood.

Yeah if we are just gonna put Key here based on talent and not actual production then Deebo Samuel better find his way up there.

The hate for Guice is so hilarious. It’s so easy to tell who is just a LSU hater.

All I see from LSU fans are subjective arguments and purple and gold eye tests.
I’m not sure why Guice continues to get inserted into this conversation for All-SEC. Is it because of his huge game against Ole Miss’ 125th ranked rush defense?

Key has been injured most of the year. He belongs there. He is an elite talent that will be playing on Sundays.

Which is what I said. If we are looking at potential and not production, deebo samuel is absolutely deserving of this list.

That's hilarious. Subjective arguments, right? Here's a few facts genius. Guice has more yards, despite missing serious time and is at least good enough to be his teams unquestioned number one back. Here's a good rule of thumb to being an all-conference back. You need to get at least 10 carries a game. Moreover you can't put up a whopping 33 yards against the best defense you faced (at least Guice put up 71 against Bama's defense). I seem to remember Gump fans pointing out how poorly Fournette did against Alabama as proof he wasn't that good. But I guess the crimson eye tests are OK when it suits your purpose.

The biased gump media is doing all it can to take away from Guice.

Guice has more yards, despite missing serious time
It’s taken him 66 more carries (roughly 6 extra games worth of carries for Harris) to accumulate 106 more yards.
He also has two fewer touchdowns, despite carrying the ball 66 times more than Harris.

Harris and Guice both averaged around 3.7 per carry. The difference is Harris is a part of a backfield with multiple elite backs - including QB, and Guice only has one other serviceable back to carry the load. It’s not Harris’ fault that LSU’s recruiting coordinator under Les Miles did a poor job.

That’s because he averaged 2.07 and 1.63 YPC in back to back years.
Harris is better than Guice, and it’s really not close.

What has Guice done to earn All-SEC honors this year?
He’s 3rd in the conference in yards, 10th in the conference in YPC, 18th in longest run from scrimmage, and 7th in TDs. He doesn’t lead the conference in anything. He isn’t in the top two of the conference in any category.
He hasn’t earned anything to be taken away from him by biased media.

Harris doesn't have even one 20 carry game. Not even a 15 carry game. It is much easier to have high ypc when you only get a few carries a game. Guice has more yards than Harris and has a shot at a 2nd SEC rushing title. If Guice had been healthy all year, he would be 300 yards ahead of everyone in the SEC, and his ypc would be 7ish. Harris is not better than Guice.

Jalen Hurts was the difference in at least two Bama games this year. Guy has been money when it counted.

Harris is better than Guice and its really not close. That's a ridiculously stupid statement even for you, internet user Tuscaloosa, which is saying something.
Find me the last great back, who deserved to be an all-conference back (which is the point of this discussion), who couldn't even get 10 carries a game. I'll patiently wait.
You also might want to take note of that elite QB Harris has. Exactly what do you think Guice would do if he had Hurts as his QB? But you might want to take off the crimson colored glasses to see that clearly.

By a whole 106 yards on sixty-six extra carries. Sad.
