There is serious discussion to be had about the true role of recruiting “hostesses”, drinking and driving, etc., but this is neither the time or place.

Yeah a guy I work with took his parents who are from out of state around to some vineyards in north Georgia . Their frickin Uber driver drove them off a cliff. Luckily they all survived and not severely injured but my guy from work had several broken ribs.

JFC. Your post is just embarrassing.
Yeah. We get these folks in here on a routine basis. Honestly I'm not posting as much as I used to because they seem to have had a successful breeding cycle and produced more of their ilk.

I lot of people get murdered from this? A lot more people die from not taking them. All this is off topic though.

Deer is highly likely right now. They’re in rut and I’ve seen dozens on the side of the road dead lately
Very true and definite possibility. I hit a deer in September and ripped the front off my car, then two weeks ago my 87-year old mom hit one. Busted her radiator. Neither of us had time to react. It’s amazing how quick they can be in front of you and the damage they can do. Whatever the reason, just tragic that two young folks are gone.

Then the rest of the civilized world shouldn't have a problem scrolling past.
The problem is - you and nobody else are the sole arbiter of what is civilized or decent. Hell - I didn't even have a strong opinion about this incident. Just another van of college kids drunk. They hits things now and then. Sometimes they die.
But folks like you, that are so sure you know when and when not people may or may not speak certain things ? You make me want to rent a billboard - just to paste "Don't drive around in a van after midnight when you've been partying. It can kill ya'."
Two weeks ago, it was who can or can not ask how the playoffs get scheduled after a dude collapses. Now, its what may or may not get said after another early morning driving fatality. But Hell ... it's no different than the crust old bastards bitching about wearing a hat inside, thirty years ago. Scolding is nothing new. It's the National Pass Time.
I'm sorry, but I disagree.
People should always call out people acting like jerks for being jerks. It's how society works... social mores and norms are based upon members of society castigating those who break them. Passing it bye without pointing out jerkish behavior encourages it to continue.
When not enough people point out jerkish behavior, people (like you) think it's acceptable. That's a problem, not a good thing.
You're being a jerk. Stop it. We aren't going to stop criticizing you for being a jerk. Either accept the criticism and embrace your label as a jerk... or chance your behavior. Bur don't whine about society labeling you what you are.

I think everyone has a justified, logical idea of what was going on...there is tactful way to broach the subject though. RIP to the player and staffer...hope the others get their health back.

A tactful way to approach a female recruiting staffer involved with multiple males associated with the football program?
Haven't seen that here.

Since you took it here ... not whining in the slightest. Observing. Observing two things.
1 - the constant drone now, on social media, to emote. Nobody here knew any of these kids. Just like nobody knew that dude that collapsed on the field two weeks ago. Yet - it's a race. Who can emote the strongest ? Who can gin up some kind of personal connection, to people they don't know, regarding an event that happens every damn day.
2 - the constant urge now, on social media, to regulate who may say what and when.
Bitch all you want - I won't change. I certainly won't change noticing the immediate reaction, by the same people, every damn time anything happens - to first run out and post the most flowery Peggy Newnan like speech regarding an event they were no part of, regarding people they've never met. And then - to start trying to decide what may or may not be said regarding the topic.
All the original guy noted - that got all of you bitching - was the obvious. Four college kids in a van, just shy of 3:00 AM. Odds are, it was alcohol related. And if my daughter WASN'T drinking ? I sure as shite wouldn't want her out at 3:00 AM giving a ride to three ball players that were.

Only two of the individuals in the car were football players, Willock and McClendon. The other individuals in the vehicle were the driver, Chandler LeCroy, and a 26 year old female.

QFT
I'm ok with all this except the last paragraph.
Police already said there's no initial evidence that drugs or alcohol was involved. That may change. If it turns out that it wasn't alcohol related, will you eat crow? Will you apologize for jumping to conclusions?
