What you seem to fail to understand is that now is not the time for this. It's been less than 12 hours since they passed away. Save the hard lectures for later and in a different thread.

Prayers for all the families involved. Worst nightmare for a parent.

If you can't wait to another thread to engage in that discussion, maybe you should take a break from the internet.

Looking at the street view of the area.
It's a 4 lane road with a center turn lane. Fairly benign road. Perhaps a deer ran across the road and she swerved to miss it?
Maybe an oncoming car veered into her lane and she swerved to avoid a head on collision??

Was driving into the office this morning which took me by the scene. It happened on Barnett Shoals Road in front of Shoal Creek Apartments. There's a curve in the road where it happened. It appears the driver failed to navigate the curve and drove straight off the road taking out a power pole. Given the amount of force it takes to do that I'm amazed anyone survived. Such a sad event.

A parent should never have to bury their child. May God lift those parents up and may He cradle His new angels.

RIP.

There were 4 people in the car. I think they were all just going home after a night celebrating downtown. Just an awful way to be reminded that even when we are feeling like the world is grand and masters of the universe, we are all fragile.

Roads were not wet last night. That road isn’t very curvy.

Based on her job title its more likely she's one of many handlers that teams have to keep their players from getting in trouble. Designated drivers, that sort of thing.

I know it's human nature, but it's ghoulish to throw out theories so soon after a tragedy.

She, another woman, and two football players were in the car, according to the report. She and one player perished, the other two are injured. UGA just had their celebratory parade and festivities that day/night.

To me, it's just as reasonable to assume that she was a designated driver or maybe the players called her for a pickup because they had been drinking, and tragedy struck regardless, as it is to assume things towards the negative end.

Whatever happened may eventually come out over time from the survivors. But anything said now is baseless speculation and, frankly, gross.

Was she driving northbound or southbound at the time of the accident?

No. She was doing her job trying to get players home.

If I could get my kids to learn just one lesson ... just one ... "nothing good happens after midnight" would be right up there at the top.
