So while A&M did play an easier schedule, it's not like those bad/average teams were playing us close. We slaughtered almost everyone.

..but Auburn actually beat everyone that year.

"Irrelevant. They had an elite defense."

Keep in mind A&M was done by the 2nd quarter of more games than Auburn. IF JFF played as much as Cam then were talking 8K+ of total offense.

Keep in mind if we arbitrarily add 5000 total yards to Auburn's numbers, they far and away outstrip TAMU.

Just think if TAMU could win games where the wind blew? Wow. We'd be talking about 14-0 and 25 million yards in total offense.

2010 Auburn, and there really shouldn't be a discussion.

If you had 2010 Auburn's defense and 2012 Texas A&M's offense you are mentioned in the same breath as 95 Nebraska and 2001 Miami.

Are you retarded? We had the worst BCS NC defense in the history of BCS NC teams

According to What If Sports

Auburn was supposed to be 7-5 in 2010

They even posted an apology (kind of)

ETA it was 86 so yes Nebraska has one

Nebraska has 4 crystal footballs (1971, 1994, 1995, and 1997) while Auburn only has 1 (2010). Ohio State were champions of the Coaches' Poll in '57.

True. Before the most recent conference expansion, teams like Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State had fewer crystal balls than Auburn.

I dont recall the AU defense being that good, they had Fairley but he took off most plays. Pretty mediocre defense

You had a HC meddling in the defensive game plan that the DC had to save with halftime adjustments.

Also I'd take AU 2010 offense all day long and twice on sunday over virtually any other offense I've seen in the SEC the last 10 or so years.

no. what? Nick Fairley, yes. That dude took out (cleanliness is debatable) more starting QBs in that single season than any player has in their whole career. And I lied about the debatable part.

Are there any type of rankings for second half defenses? Huge difference in 10' from first half vs second on the d.

2010 Auburn easily. The defenses in the SEC were far stronger in 2010 than they were in 2012.
