Hard to believe the 2nd best program would get shutout 3 times in a decade, but here we are

If yall hadn't put yourselves on probation for no reason you probably win the 2012 NC. But whose fault is that?
Posted on 5/2/20 at 12:35 pm to VABuckeye
An extra title gives us the nod when we’ve won at least 8 games every season over the period and have a top 5 winning percentage as well in that time. It’s not like LSU had 3 good years and were shite in all the others. And not to mention the Big10 is no SEC when it comes to racking up regular season wins.
Posted on 5/2/20 at 12:36 pm to VABuckeye
LSU did it while playing Alabama, Florida and Auburn EVERY year. Those teams have a combined 8 national championships among them in 20 years. Include LSU in that and it’s eleven national championships in 20 years.
Now do Ohio State.
Now do Ohio State.

They’ve consistently gotten arse raped by SEC teams on the big stage. The first year of the playoffs and them beating Bama that one time seemingly got them off the hook for that.
Posted on 5/2/20 at 12:41 pm to TigerChief10
And they haven't won a playoff game since then. I don't see that trend continuing though with the way they're recruiting while Michigan and Penn State seem stagnant

Call it what you want but Ohio State has a losing record against LSU this century, not to mention the entire SEC

While playing absolute shite teams for the most part. The inaugural CFP poll featured 3 teams from LSU’s fricking division. And the funny thing is none of those teams were LSU or Bama. Every single SEC West team has been ranked in the top 5 at some point over the past decade. Even a&m and Arkansas. Not to mention our cross division rival has won the same amount of titles as OSU in the 21st century as well. We play 2 other teams on this list every single year and another top 10 in auburn. OSU just loses to these teams when they make it to the playoffs.

That's three out of twenty seasons. LSU has lost 3 games or more in twelve of those twenty seasons. Ohio State has lost three or more in five of those twenty seasons. Overall they're a much more consistent program. However, LSU does have one more title this century.
Playing in a garbage conference.
How many Big 10 programs besides Ohio State have even played for a championship in this century?

Ohio State has been a bit more consistent over the 20 year period than LSU. It's a tough call, though.
Oklahoma has a great body of work since 2000, albeit only one NC. I strongly believe Oklahoma belongs on this list.

Surely LSU wouldn’t be 4-10 versus the head coach that would lose a title game in such a manner. Or lose a title game by three touchdowns themselves. Surely.

Why include a coach's record that isnt currently at LSU?

LSU is 10-11 against Alabama this century. Try to keep up.
