Top 5 programs of 21st century

The top 4 programs of this century are pretty simple and most would agree.
1. Bama
2. LSU (I realize people may argue this but we have more titles than anyone else other than Bama)
3. Clemson
4. OSU
The 5th is much harder. It would come down to UF or USC. I think I go with UF simply because they’ve been much more consistent and relevant during the whole period but USC’s peak was pretty incredible as well.

Hard to believe the top program would get embarrassed by 4 TDs in a title game and then follow that up with a season of beating zero teams in the regular season who ended up ranked.

That is hard to believe but you can’t argue with the treasure chest full of titles they have racked up

That list looks right to me. Clemson may pass LSU because they play in the weak arse ACC to dominate and will be in the playoff yearly and can easily pick up more titles

I didn’t argue - I just said it’s hard to believe.
What isn’t hard to believe is if Oklahoma State beats Iowa State in 2011, both LSU and Alabama would have 4 National Championships this millennium.

I was just thinking of that when I was making the thread. Pretty crazy how a shitty big 12 kicker changed the perception so much of both programs.

If it's for the whole century Clemson is too high. Tommy Bowden was 72-45 at Clemson and it took Dabo a while to get it going.

Explain please. LSU has more titles than OSU and beat the shite out of them in one of them. OU doesn’t belong either. Seems you put more stock in getting to the dance than actually winning it.

LSU has a grudge that hasn’t even BEGUN to be picked. That’s what those outside the program viewing this from a distance that aren’t familiar with the program psychology don’t get. We have three national championships, lost another and still feel like we owe some people some beat downs. We aren’t fat and happy and been there done that like at least one other team on that list. LSU STILL feels like it has to prove itself, LSU is still hungry . More championships ahead.

That's three out of twenty seasons. LSU has lost 3 games or more in twelve of those twenty seasons. Ohio State has lost three or more in five of those twenty seasons. Overall they're a much more consistent program. However, LSU does have one more title this century.
