No Heupels play calling and offensive game plan against UGA in 2025 was perfect. We just missed a field goal and lost the game because of terrible defense.
Heupel and Kirby have matched up 5 times and 4 of those times, Kirby has shut down Heupels offense. Last year Heupels offense was better than Kirbys defense. UGA won because Tennessee failed in other areas like defense and special teams. The offense did enough to win that day

You can’t keep saying the best OC in the sec consistently has 4 losses a year
Yes you can lol. Heupels offense frustrates me sometimes but go look at every loss we have had. Almost every loss was because of poor clock management or terrible defense not because of bad offensive output. The offense almost always puts us in a position to win.

Go back and watch the OU game and how he gave that away with his play calling in the second
Good defense tends to beat good offense and it’s no surprise that Venables and Smart (the two best defensive minds in the conference) have had good game plans for stopping Heupels offense. Nevertheless Heupel has put up at least 25 against BV two straight years and dropped 41 on UGA last year. The OU loss last year was terrible defense yet again

Why is Kiffin included? He isn't his own playcaller?

Heupel made some good changes. He stopped spreading the receivers to the sidelines against us and it gave the receivers more routes to challenge the DBs.
It will be interesting to see if he reverts back in 2026.

Our offense is going to look like 2024 this year. Since we will be playing a freshman QB with no experience, I expect Heupel to slow down the offense and be run heavy like when Nico was the QB. I think we will focus on high percentage throws and try to get our WRs to just out talent opposing players and then be run oriented with our veteran Oline. Slowing the offense down should also allow Knowles to scheme a decent defense for this year

Kiffin should be higher
Elko should be on the list on defense

Whether that’s talent identification, development or NIL you are better qualified to say than I am. The fact that a QB centric coach has to import portal QBs ever year isn’t a good sign at a place where you can sign elite ones out of HS and develop them in-house.
His best QBs have been guys that were complete afterthoughts (Hooker, Joey)
His ‘guys’ (Nico, Milton) sucked.
I’m of the opinion that our OC/QB coach is a complete moron and it trickles down from there. Golesh was competent enough to influence the offense from a schematic standpoint, Josh having a yes man occupying the most vital roles on the coaching staff is the root cause of our issues offensively.

C'mon man, next you're gonna tell me Bill Belichik wasn't his own dc.

So you are expecting the same wide splits for 2026?
Or do you think he mixes it up to keep defenses guessing?
