Texas numbers are with 1 less game than Bama's so we would be #1.

I and most of us here I assume are glued to every snap when OUR team is on but anyone spending noon to midnight glued to TV to watch a bunch of 20 year old millionaires in September and October on Saturdays is sad.

I usually spend my fall Saturdays watching games from noon till midnight. Sometimes with friends, sometimes by myself. Why do you consider it sad? It's just one day a week. If there are other things I want or need to do, I have six other days to do them.
Try going to a 2:30 kickoff in a college town. You're basically devoting the entire day to that one game anyway.

Texas has been in an inordinate number of crazy games. That always gets people tuned in to the 2nd half anyway.

Add to that the sheer size of alumni and fanbase.

I’m just glad these massive audiences got to watch us play very competitive games where we looked great the entire game

People don't have extra money lying around to do much else on the weekends than watch football on TV. They also have already paid for the viewing packages that cover the games. Packing up the car for a weekend trip away is easy to scrap. Same for a round of golf.

Fans can hate Texas all they want but this is one of the biggest reasons we were brought to the SEC and why the Presidents of Universities absolutely wanted Texas to come to the SEC.

the trickle down value of of adding Texas and OU is and will be immense for the other 14 institutions.

You're not wrong but you're forgetting the TV deal is a contract which Sankey negotiated and fumbled. The $ the B1G should not be more than what the SEC gets. Idk how people don't realize that. This isn't just simply oh this team has the most views we are going to pay $2 mil per viewer...smh
