If you dont think Ohio State is top5, you're fricking retarded, plain and simple.
And that's as non-biased as it gets.

Well it's pretty tough to say it's plain and simple.

Texas
Florida
USC
ND
Ohio State
LSU
Bama

and a few more could all be inserted in a top 5 depending on the criteria.

Tressel was the 6th highest paid coach in 2009 so you could easily make the argument that Ohio State is number 6.

That was before bonuses by the way. At least per USA Today.

Tennessee, Nebraska, Notre Dame, there are so many sleeping giants in college football. Storied programs always hae the ability to be at the top with a good coach

Ohio State is most certainly a Top Five program.

Population base that churns out tons of football players.

Enough money and support.

Big Televen.

This thread has been homerville, for sure.

Florida now has more people living there than in Arkansas, Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi and Louisiana combined.

Pretty much ruined the place too.

Clearly your list is wrong.

1. Arkansas
2. Auburn
3. Ole Miss
4. LSU
5. Nobody cares who is fifth in lists like this.

These are your Top 4 coaching jobs in college football. Why? Because we are just that Goddamn self-important, that's why.

USC
UF
Texas
Notre Dame
Michigan
OSU

Those are the top programs, then you look at LSU, Bama, FSU, Miami, UGA, OU, and so on.

Cushiest jobs are definitely not in the SEC. SEC is only for those who want to sacrifice everything and you better be a good damn coach.

Florida isn't one of these, Ron Zook...

tOSU, USC, Texas would be top 3 for sure right now.

UF is an elite university and the top in the SEC for a variaty of reasons; 1. Location 2. Media exposure 3. local recruiting 4. booster support

While several schools in the SEC can lay claim to most of these none but UF cant lay claim to all of them.

I disagree with FLA. They also have Miami and FSU in the same state. That alone knocks them from no 1.

there's only a top three because of their recrutiing base

UF
Texas
USC

the next two spots rotate with who's winning at the time.

I said they are arguably in the top 5, maybe you switch them with LSU since things seems to have changed in that division. But I think the top 3 has to be USC, UF, and UT in some order; the order is really just a preference. But those 3 are the primary schools in the primary recruiting states, and all have highly successful athletic departments.

LSU- great recruiting grounds, great fans, lack of long term consistent success

Yes, LSU's #12 all-time ranking for CFB wins sure does smack of lack of "long term success".

Nice job of making an argument without the facts.
