Manning and the OC make 95% of all decisions on that team.

Every school in the country passed on Phillip Rivers as a QB, except NC State.

re: The real deal on SEC recruiting this year

How did great recruiting the past few years and arguably the greatest QB in the last 25 or more years work for FLA in the SECC? Not to mention a starting D with their entire 22/two deep roster that returned, save one player that was suspended. How'd that work out? Bama beat FLA arse with a roster of players FLA wouldnt have even given a scholarship.

FLA recruits loved seeing Bama beat their asses so much they wanted to sign up

re: Don't these kids want to win?

Playing time is more important than winning. Just ask any Auburn recruit.

I remeber those guys, well Smalling anyway. He was huge. LSU signed some very large OLs around that time. Most did not work out but they were big.

At this time of recruiting I always remember a news clip of him in his HS locker room. He looked like Andre the Giant. Burned in memory for some reason...
re: What's a typical recruiting visit like?

So it does not matter Vandy football sucks. Just keep the coach regardless? Thats dumb and makes no business sense. Well you did do away with the what atheletic department right? Even still play to win or GTFO!
re: Like the NFL Draft - Recruiting is a Crap Shoot... With the Saints

NFL is a quaterback league. College is a coaches league. Teams with good QB's generally do well. All teams in the NFL have very very similar talent. According to a retired guy on an interview just days ago said in fact talent on NFL teams were almost even, save a QB.
re: impressions on Gore?

If 40 times mean nothing why do they time 40's at the NFL combine? Also Gore looks like a project, or reach at best.
