I don't think any of the RBs should make the top of the list outside of McFadden.

My list:
Newton
Tebow
Pollack
McFadden
Mathieu

Without paying too much attention to SEC football since I was born in 1993(Especially everything up to my high school years), I'd have to say....

1. Tebow
2. Newton
3. Berry
4. Green
5. Harvin
6. Richardson
7. Matthieu
8. Dorsey
9. Cadillac
10. Grossman
11. Willis
12. McFadden
13. Stafford
...

Anyone that doesn't have tebow here is insane.

No particular order

-Tebow (no explanation needed)
- Rashad Johnson/Mark Barron (basically the same player inside different bodies. Lol Nobody even threw to their sides of the field towards the end of their careers)
-Cam newton (grumble grumble)
-Steven Garcia (when he Didnt have a terrible game SC won, when he did.... Wow. An example of the negative side of this list)
-Glenn Dorsey (guy was legitimately scary IMO)

Cam shouldn't be #1

Of course Cam is #1 and there should be absolutely no debate. We are talking "impact" players. No player in the last 25 years has had a bigger impact on a team, league, and the national championship than Cam Newton. No one comes close and that includes Tebow.

To the OP, JaMarcus Russell? Really? What impact did he have in this league that sets him above others? Just on LSU, alone, Lavalais, Dorsey, and Mathieu had bigger impacts in the last 10 years.

If we are talking "Impact" here, Terrance Cody had a tremendous impact on Bama becoming a major power again and winning the NC in 2009.

No sense in leaving his fellow star Jarrett Lee out of the love fest.

All these lists that have Richardson above McFadden are just flat out wrong. The teams that Richardson played on were MUCH better than McFadden's teams. Even at the QB position, McElroy and AJ were much better than Casey Dick. Top that off that DMac's numbers were better than T-Rich's.

This is the impact that McFadden had on the SEC, and let this sink in for a second: He made Houston Nutt look like a pretty good coach.

Probably so these wash outs are impactful @ QB because there is another dude a team could have recruited.

(example we took anthony morelli over chad henne both in state kids)

Who did Auburn pass over to get the next Cam the freshmen last year ?

Tebow had a bigger impact than Cam. Cam had one amazing year. Tebow had an amazing career and became a cultural phenomenon -- which continued in the NFL. Furthermore, Cam would not have been possible without Tebow -- since Tebow established that a fullback/quarterback combination offense works when you have that one dominant player.

1. Tebow.
2. Cam.
3. David Pollack (precursor of today's dominant defensive ends taking over games).

Hard to say after that. Maybe McFadden. Maybe Garcia in the negative sense others have posted.
