Anyone heard of Reba McEntire?

Steve Gaines.
Joined Skynyrd in 1976 and played on their live album "One More From The Road" as well as Street Survivors.
Ronnie gave him a good introduction on the live album about him being from Oklahoma.
Hands down the best guitar player Skynyrd has ever had and he complimented Gary and Allen very well.

The song red dirt road was written by Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks. The song talked about childhood experiences of Dunn from Eldorado, Arkansas and Brooks from Shreveport, Louisiana.
But as a band, it first began in Tulsa.

Kings of Leon,
One of the brothers is from Oklahoma. The other two were born in Tennessee, and the band was formed in Tennessee. I don't think they really count.

Regarding Kings Of Leon, they absolutely started in Oklahoma….3 brothers and a cousin. The cousin is from Mississippi, and I’ve known him his entire life. He moved to Oklahoma to start the band with his cousins. They wound up in Nashville.

Yes, Gaines was a good picker and he blended right in with his southern style. Kind of strange for a band to just hire another member, but Skynyrd wasn't all about the money.
