I'm surprised UK is in the Top 25 after the fan revolt in football. I suppose all those empty seats in CWS were already paid for last year. I bought season tickets but only went to two games.

I was pointing out the "richest in college sports" language.
But take from it whatever you will.
And if being rich makes us little, I don't want to be the elder in this scenario.

I was wondering how Wisconsin and my Minnesota Gophers ranked so high, but it is likely due to revenue from their hockey programs.

Fundraising.
See the article I linked on the prev page:

Texas A&M University raised $740 million last year according to DallasNews.com. The amount breaks the record set by Wisconsin in 2005 ($595 million) and could help the school's athletic department surpass Texas as the richest in college sports.

Shouldn't matter for revenue discussions.

So, by YOUR krazy logic....it's better for the pigs to NOT win a sufficient number of games to be bowl eligible ?

aTm has over 5 billion in an endowment that ranks 4th amongst public schools and 10th in the entire country. I don't think they are hurting for money....
Limited in its use. I'll let the ATM guys comment more but my understanding is that it can only be used for buildings maintenance etc...

Sure but it helps our credit rating (which is a big deal when you are financing the kind of upgrades we are financing).

Actually, little can be used towards buildings/maintenance. This article helps to explain the endowment.

Dammit. If we could only raise 3/4 of a billion dollars in one year, we would almost be as rich as swine.

Only a portion of it is under that restriction and fortunately the most expensive projects that need bonds are what it's specifically for, and there are obvious work arounds like the "excellence" clause which let's us go hire big time professors from industry and fund their reseach. For the most part, the PUF has paid for lots of brand new buildings, though. We are putting $500 million in to Kyle Field, but that won't come close to what we've done over the last 5-10 years. There is a brand new engineering complex coming, a new small animal hospital, a bunch of bad arse new dorms, a new equine center, and like 4 or 5 more buildings that have to all be in the 70-100 million range that have gone up in the last 5 years.
