quote:I get it: Bama has more fans, a lot of people don't like Cam, there was no suspense this year, etc. There are a lot of factors.
The Heisman ceremony ratings were down 33% from last year also...
I was really just making a weak joke.
I honestly don't care what the ratings are as long as they are high enough for AU and college football in general to remain on TV.

everyone knew who was going to win...

I wonder how the BCSCG will do? We should have a board pool on the amount of increase/decrease from last year's ratings...

I wonder where the USL - Ole Miss game was ranked in terms of ratings ?

So three of the top highest games were after "Camgate". I thought nobody watched anymore because Cam ruined everything for them and none of it matters anymore anyway. As usual, spot on guys.

Damn right and we beat your arse for 49 minutes this year as well.

IMO, the ratings for the Oregon-Auburn game will be off the charts. Lots of people in the NE,Cal,MW who are more Pro fans, if they follow sports at all will tune in at the very least to see what this Cam stuff is all about.

You should probably flip that number, we dominated you the last 3+ quarters of that game. After your first two drives you did nothing on offense and your defense wore down shortly after.

Good grief. You're always mad at the damn world. Guy responded good-naturedly about 'moral victory' and even made a laugh emoticon.
Still not good enough for Mr. Hard arse.

Believe it or not, the OP simply has me interested in the ratings...
Here's what I was able to find...(rating translated to number of viewers wasn't available for all)
Bama-UT 17.2 rating (28.5 million viewers)
Florida-Oklahoma 15.8 (26.8 million viewers)
LSU - Ohio St 14.4
Florida-Ohio St 17.4
Southern Cal-Oklahoma 13.7
Miami-Nebraska 13.8

Seriously... Seems to me it takes more than 2 drives to score 24 points and everyone who watched the game knows we could have easily had 35 at the half. We didn't and we sucked balls in the 2nd half.
I was really just making a joke about the "we won for 58 minutes" crowd I heard so much from last year, but leave it to a aub to think I was serious.

I bet Texas/USC 2005 blows all the others out of the water. There was such a buildup to that game.

So in your mind we racked up 300+ yards in our first two possessions? Because thats what we had at halftime...plus 24 points. That must have been a hell of two drive showing in half of one quarter.
Friggin' idiots...I swear.

Those people are stupid.

Well your third TD was 100% bs and your other FG was after a turnover inside the 40 yard line. So after the first two drives your offense legitimately managed one FG.

Nah, just rubbing it in a little more.

Looking at that list, from a noteriety, regional and national fanbase perspective, I think AU-UO is closer to the Miami-Nebraska game than any of the others. I would expect the number to be close to that range. Maybe a little higher.
