Wow Kentucky having 2 that high is impressive. If anyone had 3 it would be even more so.

Who from this list are returning?

I think everyone but Rose, and Najee
Edit: If I'm right about that, 3 of the top 8 returning RBs in the SEC in terms of yards per carry will be at A&M. But Smith won't even be playing RB anymore. At least, not much. I expect Spiller, Achane, and 5 star LJ Johnson to get most of the carries from the backfield.

Wow
The top 8 being good examples for future players that if you want to win anything that matters and get drafted you go to Alabama

Thanks for the info. I thought he left.

I'd probably put a qualifier on this on minimum carries. It's not really impressive to have a high ypc if you have 40 carries in a season. 1-2 big runs can easily skew that.

Cook is painfully underrated even by UGA fans.
Should have a big year and no doubt he plays on Sundays.

I guess it depend on how you got your carries. If they came in garbage time again North Texas or Troy, I'd agree. But if you came in as a true freshmen and got all your carries in SEC or bowl games (say, mostly against Auburn or in the Orange Bowl), then I'd still call that very impressive.

Nah. He is really high on the list for candidates to increase draft stock. All he did under Chaney and Cooley were outside handoffs and screen plays. Monken got more creative

But again, 1-2 carries can skew a 40 carry "season" pretty easily. Seems dumb to compare guys who had 40 carries to guys who more hit the law of averages having 100, 150, 250 carries.
You could have 38 carries for 190 yards which is 5ypc, then 2 carries for 95 yards total which brings you up to 285 yards on 40 carries and 7.1 ypc which is a massive change. Now if you do that enough to get that high over 150-250 carries or something, that's one thing, but when it's 1-2 carries that can skew your average by that much, then its not really anything notable. Just means you got 1 or 2 big runs to go along with not much else to go on.

It certainly makes a difference but I'd say YPT is just as important for a RB obviously depending on the amount of touches.

The UGA Motto.......Should have a big year

Take away Devon's three longest runs, and he still averages 6.5 ypc.

So 2 yards per carry lower

So even with the top 7% of his carries wiped away, he still is in top three in the SEC in ypc. If you want to maintain that's not crazy impressive, then you're a fricking dumbass.
