It was big, no doubt (for now). If you want to climb the ladder, you’ve got to beat the teams that are above you. Going forward, if the games become genuinely competitive year in and year out, then it was a watershed game. If LSU starts another streak against us, then the 2018 game dud’nt mean shite.

0-77 still resonates well with them.

But the much more recent 41-13 resonates more.

I think that’s something both fan bases can agree on

Would love to see another game like that involving someone other than LSU though!

I wan’t happy about the outcome. But in the end it was a pretty exciting game. The only reason I started to get mad was because I was concerned someone from either team was going to get hurt. I dropped more than a few “f” bombs in the game thread

Not trying to be a troll but it's not top 10 for me.

I'd put it somewhere in the top 25 mainly b/c it went to 7OTs which is such a rarity it's impossible for it to not be notable.

Thanks for the A&M insights;

Again, not the outcome I would want. But if we had defended that pass with 1 second left in regulation we would not be talking about it now. I can respect a gritty game by A&M even if I wanted an LSU win. Definitely has me looking forward to our game this year. May even gnaw my leg off and make it down to Baton Rouge in November.

I’m sure viewers all over the country were saying the exact same thing my group was saying as we watched: It SUCKED that anyone had to lose a game like that. I’m just grateful we appear to have a coach who is finally giving us a shot at being competitive in November.

Had the Aggies won by 7-10 points as they were on track to do before the Divinity touchdown in the 3rd quarter it would have been a nice win (and the highest ranked team A&M has beaten at home since joining the SEC), but not nearly the same as the way that 74-72 unfolded.

As far as history, it's the longest game in A&M history and highest scoring overall. (previously the most points A&M had scored in a game was a 73-0 win over Missouri in 1993)

Why a *? Because your kicker missed a field goal? Your punt returner turned the ball over? Your DBs were too busy looking to forward to skipping their bowl game to actually cover our WRs? Any one of these things happen and you guys win in regulation. Why don’t you blame your players for sucking?

Not that high honestly. As a single game 7 OT win it was cool but not much riding on it at all for either school.

This is how I feel (even though we lost). I was more concerned about a freak injury during the OT periods. But to their credit, both teams played their hearts out. Neither would back down.

Top 20-40 type game

For the sake of entertainment I'd like to see the top 10 all time A&M wins.

74-72 is a Top 10 all time win for A&M.
