Early second round pick, solid career. Cover slot receivers, nickel package player, great special teams addition. Don't see him matched up on Calvin Howard but could cover Wes Welker. One of the savviest players in the draft, plays larger than his actual size, great tackler for 175 lbs.

The NFL will watch over the next few years to see if he puts on weight.

If he can get up to around 200, he could have a future at Safety in the NFL. Similar players have been drafted in the 2nd over the last few years, but only one of them had a knack of getting to the ball like TM7...

I don't see how he can carry that much weight.

He already looks big for his frame at about 180.

I think he's physically very similar to Antoine Winfield - 5'9" 180. Also, Winfield goes on a lot of corner blitzes. If TM has a good NFL career, it will mirror Winfield's.

He doesn't have to be right at it, but he can't be near 175 either.

Jim Leonhard is the starting SS for the New York Jets and he's 5-7, 188 and he has no where near the talents of TM7. He's brainy and a good hitter, but that's it...

Leonard is also the weakest link in the Jet secondary. He couldn't tackle Tebow and it led to a loss. He has played in the NFL for a number of years, and I think Mathieu is a far better athlete and tackler.

Anybody here remember Sam Mills?

He was listed at 5'9", 225 lbs.

IRL, closer to 5'7", 210 lbs.

He was one, badass ILB in the NFL, and had quite a nice career. I wouldn't count TM7 out.

You do realize he's just a teenager, right? Two more years of college will add 10-15 pounds of muscle at least. He has the skills to play safety and ST right now. He will play in the NFL.
I rate his potential at about 8 and a top three round pick at this point next year.

Dude is a baller
When you have to start a thread about him as a sophomore that should answer your question.
He is "not big enough", "not fast enough", will make him better just like hundreds of guys in the NFL.

I won't be showing this thread to my buddies . I love TM7, and think he is an amazing college player. I just can't picture him playing defense in the NFL
