Time for LSU, Lane Kiffin, Will Wade to end their eligibility fights

LSU hired Kiffin and Wade to be aggressive in recruiting. To push envelopes. To boldly (perhaps recklessly) go where other coaches haven’t gone before.
But LSU courts real crippling sanctions over these players. Already nationally considered a pariah for hiring Kiffin and Wade, LSU risks really Texas Tech and Brendan Sorsby-like condemnation if it proceeds on this course of action.
Wright, Harris and about 30 other similarly fated athletes (not Luis, separate case) seeking to return to college are set to get a hearing Monday on their collective TRO. As of now, it appears LSU is full speed ahead on supporting them and trying to get them on the field.
Instead, LSU should tell the players, “Sorry, we want you but it’s just not going to work out” and walk away.
It’s time to move on.

I think the whole thing is entertaining, but I think Lane will get out when it makes sense to. If he thinks the players have a real chance to win, he'll probably ride it out though.
At any rate, these won't be starters. I'm not even sure that Harris can play, so I don't think this is really about the players themselves. JMO.

Exactly. It’s up to the players to fight the shite. LSU isn’t going to court against anyone. If they become eligible, then great. If not, that’s fine too.
LK isn’t getting paid to be liked by the media. He’s paid to win games. We offered legally eligible players by a court order to come play at LSU. Thats it.
