You kidding? The media loved him because talking about him drew fan reactions and ratings.
Many fans dislike him, but that's mostly because the media won't stop talking about him and they handle him with kid gloves in many of their criticisms because he has such a passionate fan base.
I dislike him because he's cocky and thinks he is bigger than the game or his team due to his refusal to even consider moving to another position until now when all other avenues of being a professional athlete has closed to him.
Funny part is, I wouldn't even care that much if not for the wall to wall media attention - he's about to get more of it than any third string tight end deserves.
He was also a trash broadcaster. I don't think I ever listened to him make more than surface level observations.

I dont understand the Tebow hate.
Did I hate him at UF when he would beat the brakes off of LSU? sure..... But as a player not a person.
he is done NOTHING but represent himself with 100% class and integrity. Man is a competitor.
I am very active in his charity "A night to remember" because its fantastic and he puts his heart and soul into it.
Frankly I think he is what most Athletes should aspire to. Will work his tail off to whip you on the field and off the field conduct himself with nothing but grace and integrity..... I think he is a shining example of what someone with his platform should be....

It's because we ive in a society of jaded, synical, miserable A-holes... Me being one of them... Tim comes across as so disgustingly wholesome that most people thinks it's just an act..
I personally think he's a genuinely good guy. No one can fake his demeanor for that long, unless you're a legit narcissist psychopath... Too bad that he's, at best, a mediocre QB..

Maybe he knew he wouldn't be able to make the transition at the pro level in one offseason or fall camp. Maybe he didn't think it would help the team.

If he sucks, he won't make the team but Urban happens to know how good an athlete the man is and thinks he can make him productive.
Good Luck to him, I hope he does well.
People that says he should have done this move to TE earlier don't understand that his wanted to play QB. His only shot at playing QB was to fully devote himself to that position. Sure, he may have had a better chance at making a team at TE but he was going for broke. Good for him.
