Exactly. LSU and Bama are similar in the way they play football. Rely heavily on the defense, control the line of scrimmage, and have a QB who can manage a game and get a few good drives with points.
Bama and LSU don’t need heisman QBs to win games but they need a QB who is a good game manager. Alabama has had that pretty much every year since Saban has been there and as for LSU, not so much. Now what’s scary is one of those teams having a really really good dual threat QB who can win a heisman trophy.
Just look at Alabama this year. This is probably the best team ever in college football because they have a QB who can’t be stopped and their defense will always be lights out. What LSU has in Burrow is all they need to be successful

He didn't have a cannon. He didn't need one.
And if he needed five yards and there was a defensive player in his way, he took the hit and made it happen.
Kid is a prime example of hard work and grit trumping almost everything.

Why? I will go on record right now and say that Tua will never win a Super Bowl. I’m not knocking on Tua here. He’s a good QB (or appears to be anyway) but most QBs don’t win a Super Bowl so it’s a safe bet.
