Just looking over the 8 teams there. This could be the tightest field in history. Any of the 8 teams can win it. There isn't a team that somehow snuck in who is an obvious 2 and Q team.

There isn't an obvious team that is just going to roll over everyone either on paper. Tennessee is the closest to that, but there are other hot teams in the field as well.

It has all the makings to be a great CWS even though many of the traditional power teams are not there.

I think it’s time schloss gets it done.

He is the best in the game imo.

Agreed on both points and that’s no offense to the other SEC teams. Mingione literally built that program out of nothing and made baseball relevant there. Easy team to root for.

I’m pulling for NC State to win it all, but if UK wins it, I wouldn’t be mad. Class act coach.

He is a whiny little bitch at times but seems like a quality guy.

You spelled Vitello name wrong.m. Schloss isn’t even the best in the SEC, much less the country. He is 1-4 against Vitello alone.

You could be right.

Out of all the SEC programs at the CWS, only Florida has won it before.

And over on the ACC side, only Virginia has a CWS title.

Going to be a great tournament!

It’s funny to me everyone sucks off the UK coach and bashes Vitello. Mingione has the same type of team as the 2022 Vols in terms of antics. Vitelllo is a G while Mingione is butch jones of baseball.

best HC and the most consistent bats of the 8 teams there - I see O'Connor getting another homecoming trophy soon -

Virginia v Florida in the Finals - Cavs in 3 -

Omaha has a way of neutralizing the top offenses, it will likely come down to who can pitch it the best.
UK can do a lot of things to play winning baseball in Omaha.
I think Aggies have enough pitching even though Sdao looks to be out and losing Montgomery sucks.
Tenn can draw on sec tourney experience to navigate an Omaha schedule but Beam not being as dominant this year would have me nervous.
FSU seems to be a destiny type team, maybe this is finally the year.
UNC does a lot of things well and I think Honeycutt is a really good player.
NC State needs a redemption story and their coach might decide to retire.
UVA is a well coached ballclub every year, very consistent year in year out.
Florida is getting hot at right time but I don't see them winning it. Will see how effective Neely is with how much he threw this past weekend.

Can one of the baseball statistics gurus post the pitching stats for the 8 teams. Pitching usually gets it done in that ballpark.

This absolutely has me nervous. Past few games, Beam has been a 3-4 inning pitcher. Our bullpen has been doing well though. Especially Aaron Combs. Played strategically, our pitching should be fine.
