How many here have been to Bama since they've added on? Serious question. I'm not sure how much louder it is this year.

Bama's stadium atmosphere fricking sucks. There's way too many snobby pricks holding season tickets, who look at you like an idiot when you scream while the opposing team's offense is on the field. If you're not sitting in the student section, don't expect to have any fun.

Auburn's stadium is VERY LOUD, even when it's not at full capacity and as someone said earlier, the noise level doesn't peek at certain periods in the game, it stays loud. Auburn's problem is, overall, tailgating sucks and there's hardly any bars near campus. But the atmosphere inside of the stadium makes up for it.

But from experience, AU's nowhere near as loud as Tiger Stadium or Florida's stadium, but it does come close.

I maintain the same thing I have for a couple of years (and I have been to several big games at TS).

TS has a higher peak noise level. The Bryd catch in 2007 was off the charts and other big game changing moments are too. JH is louder from start to finish. The crowd maintains more noise longer.

I'm expecting Jordan Hare to be off the charts Saturday. First time I will catch a game there and looking forward to it.

When you get 87,000 or 91,000 or 100,000 people in a place and 90% of them are screaming, clapping, kicking metal bleachers, banging plastic bottles together is there really that much more noise from one place to the other?

I gotta think that the cowbells would make for some serious noise, but I've never been to Starkville. Artificial noise making is lame...it should be all vocal. As a student, I could barely talk after home games we yelled so much. Sadly, after leaving the student section it wasn't the same...lots of different people just "touring" the stadium week in and week out and many and too old or too lame to yell.

You will get a bunch of Homer respones. I can say being a LSU fan, I think the eagle coming down at mid-field at the start of a Auburn home game is badass. Rating the loudness of a Stadium it is hard to do. Loud is Loud but I do love Tiger Stadium when it is packed and crazy.

loudest I have ever been to is Lane Stadium

Lane stadium is a GREAT venue. It is my favorite non-SEC venue but it is not even in the same hemisphere as Death Valley (or the Plains for that Matter) in terms of noise level.

Gobble, gobble and things and such...

Wasn't there a recent poll of SEC players where they voted TS the loudest in the SEC?

Washington has some acoustics for noise with that messed up upper deck. Oregon is supposed to be as loud as any.

JHS can most definitely get crazy loud. The main advantage I'll give LSU is a night game when the locals are nice and "seasoned" for a big game. I've only been to Auburn for LSU games, which have been huge in recent years.

THIS!

In 2008 when LSU blocked Alabama's Field Goal TS was loud. Since then not very often.

I have sat in both student sections many times. Homer opinion Auburn's is better. Auburn students may be shaking their cocktail stirrers but they are constantly screaming. They don't pause or take a breath for choreographed dances and claps, like:
.

Auburn hasn't won in TS since 99, so I guess they work. It just seems like somebody came up with those when LSU wasn't very good so the students would pay attention.

The last couple years Auburn has been mainly:

When the choice is 35,000 with cowbells or 90,000 drunks, the drunks win!
