Somehow the giants look like a team grinding and hustling trying to claw into the playoffs and we look like a team 20 games under 500 who is ready for the offseason. Not sure if the terrible manager or lack of clubhouse leader is to blame.

You can’t blame the new guy for not challenging…blame the ump for missing it. We should bury this team with the pitching mismatch, but instead we will probably strand 10+ and take a squeaker into the late innings

I think about all of the smart people I know, and none of them are in law enforcement. I think we always think about detectives as these guys that are depicted as smart and diligent and passionate about their jobs, but in reality most as probably the ones slightly sharper than the other goons running around as beat cops. All that said, I’m guessing what being a cop has turned into is an unbelievably difficult job with danger and BS that far outweighs the compensation, so it’s not surprising with the types of folks that end up doing it

Why is dezenzo still up? Dude is straight arse at the plate and after he didn’t run out that game ending dropped strikeout I would have thought he’d be down for a while

New team rule: you can’t challenge pitches if your batting average is under 240

Neighborhood golf courses made OB out of control. My club has OB on 25 of the 27 holes and it’s legit in play on at least 23 of them. There are quite a few holes with OB on both sides. The original golf courses had almost no surrounding human developments. Even st Andrews only has OB on like the last 4 holes on the right and I’m guessing it was only 18 back in the day but they kept building more and more stuff on the right side of the course.
My biggest gripe with OB is that it slows up play with hitting provisionals all the time or going back to re-tee. I think there should be a new type of boundary created that doesn’t allow you to play it where it lies (like hazards) but allows a stroke penalty and a radial relief…basically no closer to the hole but as far away from the boundary as you want to go. So you can swing it 25 yards away and drop in the fairway hitting 3. This would speed things up and still be a penalty.

I just got back from st Andrews, and I can’t imagine how cool it would be to watch an open there. The course is flat but undulating so I’d imagine grandstands will be key to being able to see anything, especially on the very huge and undulating green complexes.

Out driver said that traffic into st Andrews is awful just on a good weather weekend because they have a nice beach there, so I’d imagine that commuting in to town would be time consuming. There aren’t a lot of hotels in town so you might have to spend a ton to stay in town. If you are going to go there, you should add in playing a round or at nearby courses. Our favorites were Kingsbarns and Carnoustie. Kingsbarns is much closer, and more fun/easier.


I’d try to go again but I’ll have to save up a few years before I can do it again.

It’s ok guys we’ve won 2 in a row and won the series we can take it easy. I think I’d make Altuve take until he has a strike. See how long it takes the other teams to figure it out.

I think the penalty was warranted and Bryson overreacted. We will see if he continues to bring it up and play the victim. Last major of the year so not likely. Rory will address his comments in the playoffs at a time when Bryson can’t respond.
