I’m surprised it took this long. There are a lot of families loyal to that camp but $10 million is a lot to raise from alumni to keep it running. Just a sad deal all around.
It’s funny that Happy Gilmore sort of predicted this whole phenomenon. Tiger got a ton of people into golf who didn’t have a dad drill the rules of etiquette into them, and then Bryson and these YouTube guys are doing the same. Add in twitter behavior spilling over into society and drunk new Yorkers and you get what we got this weekend
Burns has deserved some criticism from previous tournaments, but he shot 67 today and the leader shot 73, so give him a break. The dude pkayed awesome. Scotty played noticeably worse. Lots of other contenders absolutely wilted.
I’m guessing almost none of you guys have played or still play competitive golf. It’s pretty easy to armchair quarterback stuff like this…but saying his putt was one of the worst you’ve seen is laughably bad. He had a slippery downhill putt on poanna greens late in the afternoon. He misjudged it and missed. He hit a ton of great shots on the last few holes…and was a roll or 2 from a playoff or maybe an outright win.

Wow the crowd is insanely anti-Wyndham. I heard as many “no’s” as cheers when that went in
I think it would be fitting if he hit hit with a slow play penalty to lose it. This is the perfect time for the USGA to enforce it

We’re sitting on 6 points with a +5 goal differential in a World Cup where 2/3 of the teams advance from group to knockout…we’ll be fine. Any endorsement or passive support for this rule is stupid. I’m talking about western European countries arresting people for social media posts, for praying near abortion clinics, also while allowing immigrants and thugs to get away with murder and rape at the fear of being called racist. Dude it just happened in England when a Sikh murdered a white guy with his ceremonial knife then told the caps he was”racially attacked” and the cops cuffed the stabbed white guy who ended up dying, this dumb rule is the same thing…more concerned with hurtful words than the actual events on the field. It’s sad what those societies have become.
What context could make this an acceptable result? This is Western European censorship left wing bulkshit to the max.
