I sat in that section with a buddy for a Bama-OU game like 15 years ago and felt like I needed a chiropractor after it was over.

I remember a few big games as a student getter there right at game time and having to sit in the last seat of the last row of those seats and just laughing at how awful it was. It truly felt like you were sitting in the OF upper deck of a baseball stadium and the basketball gam was being played on the 1st base line.

It was 1,500 seats bigger (10,400). Which is ridiculous as it should be at least 11,000 and probably be right at about 11,500-12,000.
That's the perfect size for Bama's new coliseum. Relocate the stats people to the visitor's corner, I do not want to have to look at them on a TV broadcast ever. Put the student section behind the team bench, etc.

Yea, I mean I think we had a deep dive thread on the Bama board at some point in the last 12-24 months looking at attendance and 11,750 was the perfect figure to both have almost all sellouts for SEC games and have the place 75-80% filled for almost every game outside of the 1-2 a year against SELU on a Wed night in late November. But, they want more suites and less regular seats and the want it to be 100% sold out every night, which means it will be difficult for a lot of folks to get in (and kick out a lot of season ticket holders who actually show up and have for 20 years, unlike the rich old folks who buy them for Tide Pride points).
But at this point whatever, I don't care if it seats 6,500. Just do it.

There is a waiting list for season tickets and zero chance of getting them. Last year the priority required was $360,000’in donations.

Went to every home game that year. It was awesome. That team was blowing people out.

Meh the next year was a good atmosphere. Also decent during Marquis Daniels' time and 1 year of Lebo. The rest was bad. Mostly because the team was awful.

Thank you, I usually am good about getting that right.

Coleman is a dump. But everyone is correct. I went when the Arena was first built. I could walk in and always find room in the student section (unless Kentucky was in town)

The thing Tuscaloosa never mentions is the arena plans Bama just scrapped cause they can’t afford it was for an arena the size of Neville.
This is false.

It predated Ellis. I had a friend that was a high school coach back in the Wimp Sanderson/Sonny Smith days. He scored free tickets pretty regularly. Auburn was a really fun place to watch a basketball game back then when the tickets were free and you didn't have a dog in the fight.
