Dawgs take game 1 vs the “toughest scheduled program” of 2026 2-1.

Marciano has the worst damned luck. Had you told me this morning he’d only allow two runs on six innings I’d have missed you full on the mouth.

Or you could give credit to UGA, but that would be above you folks that root for the paper tigers.

Oh don’t be such a bitch. Your pitching was elite to a level I never expected. Hopefully that will be your best shot until Aoki.

Even though Georgia has already secured the SEC title, the team doesn't take a day off. One has to respect that.

UGA moved down 2 spots and Auburn moved up one spot. Strange.

You don’t expect the SEC Champs to have decent pitching? Y’all could easily take the next two, of course.

Decent yeah. Tonight what I watched was elite though.

Straight nasty.

You have to understand how the math works. RPI is 75% your opponents' and their opponents' strength of schedule. If a lot of your non-conference opponents lost tonight, that will hurt you more than gaining one big road win. One game itself is minimal 50+ games into the season.

Not the best game by both clubs in the bayou but always good to get a W at the box.

I must again point out the ridiculousness of a metric that places greater emphasis on what other teams do than beating a top 5 team on the road, such that we actually lose ground in said metric.

Volchko was pretty much who he hs been most of the year - shaky first, really good rest of the way.

But Matt Scott was stellar tonight. And he has been very good in relief this year but this was his best performance given the venue and level of opponent.

We also lose our gain ground on that same metric. Same boat. Is what it is.

When your starter started nailing those breaking balls the game flipped immediately. Man.
