Ya, then it makes zero sense. Some of these players go MLB and the wider strike zone is dumb. Will also make batters look worse as they strike out looking on what used to be a ball now machine called strike

I think college umpires generally give the river to the pitcher more often than not, so maybe the SEC wanted to avoid a sudden and significant narrowing of the zone. Most college pitchers already struggle to throw strikes consistently so I doubt the SEC wants to see ABS turn the SECT into a walk-fest.

This AU/UGA series scares me. UGA has the reg season title wrapped up along witha national seed and should be playing with zero pressure. AU, on the other hand could fall all the way to the bottom half of SEC standings if we get swept.

not sure what youre scared of. win 1/3 and still likely a top 8 seed. get swept and will still host a regional

My projection for Auburn’s national seed based on how many wins we get this weekend:
3: #2 National Seed
2: #3 National Seed
1: #8 National Seed
0: #11
I think we just need one win to lock up a national seed. I think we’ve locked up a host spot no matter what.
