Everyone is playing Thu-Fri-Sat other than Kentucky @ Georgia who are playing Fri- Sat-Sun.

Georgia, why are you a bunch of heathens and playing at noon on Easter?

Looking forward to watching -

LSU/SCar and Florida/Tenn.

As always when the Hogs are on the road, I will be content with 2/3. Especially with McEntire’s status up in the air with the flu.

I’d be very happy if LSU could take 2 out of 3. SC looks very good, and LSU has no Saturday starter.

I'll be at every SC vs LSU game this weekend ... Yardcocks limping-in to face the Bayou Bengal yardcats.

A bunch of injuries.

Fingers crossed.

was about to put this up in its own thread - right here seems better -

quote:

LSU - South Carolina - series history -

Tigers hold a 40-31-1 overall series lead that was first played in 1992.

32-27-1 regular season. LSU won the first 5 games ever played with the 6th ending in a tie. regular season series has been tied 27 wins each since.

Baton Rouge
LSU 15 wins / USC 14 wins / Tie 1 - LSU won 6 of 10 series

Columbia
LSU 17 wins / USC 13 wins - LSU won 6 of 10 series

Gamecocks have won the last two series between the schools. 2021 in Baton Rouge (2-1) and 2018 in Columbia (3-0).

Post-Season - LSU 8 wins / USC 4 wins

Hoover
LSU 7 wins / USC 2 wins

New Orleans
LSU 1 win / USC 0 wins

Omaha
LSU 0 wins / USC 2 wins

Weather will be a factor to get 3 games in Thur/Sat. neither team apparently interested in playing a DH this weekend. getting 2 complete games played seems to be best-case scenario heading into tomorrow's game 1. short turnaround game 2 to game 3 if it happens - 7pm & 12pm first pitch.

Noah Hall came out of his last start in Starkville after 2.2 innings due to back issues. 9 hits 5 runs. his status is unknown this weekend - Kingston says day-to-day as he works with the trainers to return.

Gamecocks have been down 2 significant bats in the lineup over the past 5 games. 2B McGillis (arm) & OF Hornung (foot) both with broken bones.
as for the full SEC slate - per D1 baseball rankings 1-3-4-5-10 on the road with 6 & 11 at home. that's a lot of high ranked teams playing on the road in this baseball crucible.

South Carolina LSU is a big one this weekend. Just wish the weather forecast was a lot better.

Blue states generally do not recognize Christian holidays.

I mean - is anybody ever really a fan of DH? They really cripple pitching. But you gotta do what you gotta do to get the games in.

Interesting stat

The top two hitting teams for avg in the SEC

Batting avg:
1. LSU .337
2. Florida .330

Are traveling to play the top two pitching teams per ERA in the SEC

Earned run avg:
1. Tennessee 2.72
2. South Carolina 2.98

Good pitching usually beats good hitting, but not always.

What are you talking about? This forecast is great. If we find ourselves losing at any point we can just Ole Miss it and call the game before taking the L.
