Im not a Bama fan. But breaking out the white helmets once per year or few years isn’t a bad thing. I like that Nebraska has stayed consistent. But I also know players like the variation. That is who is deciding which uniforms right now for Ole Miss. the players.

This. And it’s great on big recruiting weekends.

Weren’t these the look you guys wore during the Johnny Manziel era? I never liked that look.

Sumlin had them add Texas A&M across the chest & beveled the numbers. These are much cleaner looking the Sumlin uniforms were too busy IMO

They look good, but I am a fan of the alternate unis. Stick with your classics most of the time, but bringing an alt look or throwback look out is fun for the fans and especially the players. They are kids after all.

That looks sharp. My favorite are the Arkansas 1964's:

...and the Ole Miss 1948:

I've always thought that was the quintessential A&M look. Probably should be your standard home uni.

Bear must’ve done away with the white a few years after he got to Bama. Watching the videos I wonder why. I liked them

Bama wore white helmets sometimes up through the late '60s.

What is really weird is during the late '60s.... Bama had some guys wearing white helmets and some guys wearing red helmets on the field at the same time. I always assumed the guys in the white helmets were the eligible receivers. This usually happened when the other team had red helmets as well.

Anyway, that went on for a couple of years in the late '60s and I assume it got outlawed. or something. .

Those are great. I wish we’d do alternates like that instead of the stupid gray ones
