Indiana, Georgia, Texas Tech, Ohio State. That’s it.

Instead we have two G5s facing opening lines of +17 and +21.5

We have 2 first round rematches (Tulane at Ole Miss and Bama at OU)

We have two more potential rematches in the quarterfinal (UGA vs Ole Miss) and Semifinal rounds (Oregon vs Indiana), to say nothing of the potential rematches in the finals (Indiana vs OSU, UGA vs Bama).

All so we can wait until mid-January for a late Monday night kickoff to finally crown a champion.

Model of efficiency, this sport.

We told you all over the 2010's but no, Bama was winning too much so we had to go expanded playoffs so errbody could have a chance.

Well now, you got it. May as well enjoy it.

Jesus I actually gave Bama the benefit of the doubt and just misremembered, assumed they lost on the road. That’s even worse.

This is the second year of the 12 team playoff. Last years championship game participants wouldn’t have even made a 4 team field last year.

I for one was hesitant to leave the BCS and definitely didn’t want to leave the 4 team format.

It’s more meaningful college football, I can’t complain. Now that the portal window has been pushed back to New Years, it also doesn’t hurt you to go deep into the tournament.

We all should root for two or three teams to give ourselves a better chance as fans and go back to four teams.

One of these days there will be an upset. The melt will be something to watch.

I find it hilarious everyone thought expanding the field would remedy the left out teams. They just made it worse. Looks like BYU, Vandy and Notre Dame feel screwed.

8 should have been the max. Top 4 hosting at home to generate money locally and than off to the bowl games. But money talks and those in charge will have us at 24 in the end.

Sounds familiar but I’m a bit distracted today still thinking about Ty Simpson bitching out and taking a 5 yard loss to avoid getting hit.

You can’t lie and tell me Georgia wasn’t deserving to be in 2 years ago. Last year was proof the best team can be a first round playoff team.

Top 4 teams didn't even make the semi's last year in a 12 team playoff.

12 teams is fine. Just tweak the rules for selection. That and now that there are mega conferences, fix how you select the two teams playing for your conference title game.

Going back to 4 is moronic.

It’s getting more retarded as we go. SEC teams will eventually demand to break in two. The SEC executives just wants to make as much money as possible, at all costs.

On the contrary if anything this year screams for expanding to 16. ND, TX, Vandy all could make a run at the natty

And all 4 of last year’s top seeds lost their first game.

OP is…not smart.
