What is this sh*t? You can't take a players best plays away and act like he sucks, that is beyond retarded.

I don't think that was his intent. I thought Lock had bigger numbers in last year's game than what he actually did and he was just pointing out that he didn't.

The last 12 years Auburn has only won 10 games 3 times, with UGA winning 10 games 6 times.

2008 and 2012 were the sorriest teams in auburn's history. Lets not forget 2011 the year after CAM and losing 35 Seniors.... also Auburn had to play UGA @ home 2 years in a row in 2011 & 2012 because of SEC expansion.

2014 Auburn played UGA a week after losing a close tough game at home to TAMU, a game that all but knocked Auburn out of going to the SECCG had they won out. Mix in Gurley and our lack of motivation you get a massive 34-7 blowout.

2016 Injured Kam Pettway...

I said all this to say Athens isn't that tough, Auburn really has been coming in with subpar teams when they come to Athens more times than not.

Agreed.

Their best hope is that Bama gets 2 regular season losses or loses in the playoff to someone else.

Then again, Clemson did well in the rematch.

With Bama's coordinators this could be the year they slip a little. Very little but perhaps enough.

Auburn is the real wild card this year. The Auburn/UGA game should be lit. We can only hope as exciting as 2013 was.

Lol.

Only Straws would agree with you.
He expected UF to run the table after their Vanderbilt game.

Going into last year UGA hadn't won the SEC east since 2012 but UF had won it two straight years. The target was squarely on their back I honestly can't see how this could be argued any other way.

Who's fault is that? I mean, it's a coincidence that Auburn is bad when they come to Athens?

You can try to spin it all you want, but here is how Auburn was ranked the last 5 times they played at sanford:
2007-18th
2009-UR
2011-20th
2014-9th
2016-9th

As for injuries.....because nobody else ever has injuries at the end of the year.
Auburn uses the injury excuse more than any other team in the SEC.

UGA beat #11 Notre Dame at Notre Dame and beat #19 Mississippi State. That was the first 4 weeks of the season.

Florida lost to Michigan, struggled against tennessee, struggled against Kentucky, and struggled against Vanderbilt in the first month of the season.

If you want to talk about a target in August... fair. You win.

If you want to talk about a target when UGA played the East, you don't have a leg to stand on. UGA was top 10 in the country when we started our path through the SEC East. Only Bama was higher in conference.

We only had an injured player once that effected the outcome of our game and that was 2016. Nice reach, but auburn was subpar in all those years listed...ranked or not.

well our starting all SEC tailback(Kam Pettway) that got us to #9 was injured, that might be why we crapped the bed.

Kerryon Johnson was his backup.

brah google is your friend.
google 2017 Iron bowl line and you'll see that the line was 3.5-4 points the night before the game depending on the book. That is literally the 2nd lowest possible point difference for a favourite.

Love the reasonable Georgia fans, I expect Kirby to be a great head coach overall but you still lost a lot of seniors and juniors last year and might take a step back but you might not. idk I'll bump this thread in December to see who was more right.

I can admit rewriting history is very fun, but 2011 was @UGA, followed by @Auburn in 2012 and then @Auburn again in 2013.

Maybe even two if they get to the SEC title game 12-0 they could very well lose that and still get in @ 12-1.

What if they get beat by a 11-1 Alabama or Auburn in the SEC CG?

I think that blows a hole in your theory jimdog.
