I’ll go as far as saying…. Not sure how the refs missed that. Definitely should have been a penalty and first down.

The bama game was one of the cleanest officiated games I’ve watched in a while. No real ticky tack bullshite and let the players determine the game. Was pretty refreshing. The Michigan player wasn’t even looking at the punter when he got hit. Kinda just ran into his leg on the follow through from the kick. He wasn’t making an attempt at the player at that point and the punter sold it.

He might have done some acting, but he absolutely got hit. He got ran into. Not just a graze on the foot. Halfway up his leg.

I think if he doesn't do the kung-fu double roll midair flip and just reacted normally, he gets the call.

He did, but i've also seen many times this year the refs holding kickers more accountable for holding their leg out for these. Not saying I wouldn't be pissed if it was my team, but it is a change they've had this year that kickers can't just keep their legs out there forever.
