Hats off. This team is scary good. The Ags can’t hang. Sometimes ya just gotta tip your cap.

On paper best collection of talent at a school that’s had great teams. If they stay healthy they could easily blow thru the SEC and get to Omaha as top seed and overwhelming fav to win it all. Should be fun to watch

I talk shite about baseball but I’m honestly cautiously optimistic. After seeing what happened to Tennessee last year, anything’s possible.

What makes them scary is the pitching is really good, fielding is exceptional, and the lineup puts so much pressure on a pitching staff. Even if the starter is on, it seems like they will get to him by the third time through the order and just hammer the bullpen.

Anytime I think of Wes Johnson as LSU's pitching coach, I get so pissed off. I love WJ and it infuriates me that he's now the pitching coach at an SEC rival.

My reaction when I first heard the news that WJ was going to LSU:

Yeah baseball is one sport where most talented doesn’t always win
One hot pitcher can shut a team down
The impressive thing is lsu finally has decent starting pitching and an offense that can mash their way out of a slugfest
Defense is also much improved
Best part of this weekend is they did it with wind blowing in and they hit well against shift
Omaha park plays big so that will pay dividends down the line

I think A&M is a fine team too, thankfully we're just that good. Props A&M. You'll be fine.

This is the best LSU team I’ve seen since the 90s. But baseball is a funny sport…

Yes I understand. Having two Johnsons is far and away better than having no Johnsons.

At this point, they don’t have a weakness. I don’t say that lightly.

Durability is their test right now.

Left 15 runners on base and still scored 12 runs…this team is not even close to firing consistently on all cylinders yet and that’s scary…

You guys will be ok.

And I like your coach, would have been fine if he had gotten the job in BR.

Agree. If Lsu doesn't finish 30-0 in the SEC it is going to be disappointing. Everyone else should just stop playing now.

our biggest adversity so far is umps thinking home plate is round. dont know why but LSU has to deal with some scary bad and inconsistent zones.

Both teams dealt with that yesterday. That ump was horrible.

It’s one of the beautiful things about baseball. You just never know how the season plays out and all it takes is a couple of cold spells for the season to be over.
