They could easily get Richard Pitino or Pearl and they hire Pope. Hell Sean Miller looking pretty good about now.

They could have hired Pope at any time. Would have made way more sense to sit tight and let Donovan lose his play-in and then made an honest run at him.

no they couldn't have. Pearl has said Indiana was his "dream job". They couldn't get him. Bruce knows he has a statue in front of the arena where the court bears his name if he retires at Auburn. Money can't buy that.

Mostly agree with you. There's a decent chance Kentucky could have hired Bruce Pearl. It's Kentucky. But nothing about it would have been easy.
