Freezus christ can coach, not sure if roster is up to snuff. If he can find a qb he'll be dangerous with the barn. I think aTm is the Sleeper. Bobby petrino knows how to work potential out of a roster and faggies have a roster with potential. They're who I think people should worry about. But knowing life in the sec. One of those teams will be unexpected hell

They may beat Alabama or UGA but lose to Vanderbilt and MSU.

Seriously, the cupboard was bare. Harsin truly leff the program in shambles.
Since getting hired in November Freeze has brought in 20 transfers which is #3 in the nation with LSU being #2 and Colorado #1. However, Auburn has the most 4 stars with 11.
Freeze brought in 5 stout receivers that are taller than 6'2". 10 offensive linemen transferred in not to mention Thorne. The defense was improved with transfers as well. It is refreshing to have a Staff that know what they are doing and program all on one page.
Auburn is not backing down from going toe to toe with the big two with relation to recruiting.
Potential to win 9 games but let's call it 5-7. Regardless... will be a tough out for all this year.
We want improvement against the UGA dawg (dropped passes, better QB play) and have the last game circled as a win.
I pick Tennessee vs LSU in Atlanta.
2024....Freeze Warning!

Freeze will get Auburn back to being a competitive SEC program. He did it with less resources at OM & Liberty. No reason to think he can’t do the same at a place like Auburn.

Playing UGA, Bama, and LSU?

That's a reason.

How are the trenches looking in Auburn?

That is where you win in the SEC.

Freeze upgraded the talent in a major way through the portal. I still don’t think they’re competitive with UGA, Alabama, or LSU though. Their absolute ceiling is 9-3, and that’s if they beat every team that they can beat.

I think it will be a 7-5 season in Freeze’s first season at Auburn, which would be a major improvement over last year, and something that Auburn fans should be happy with after what Harsin did to their program.

This is a fallacy that gets repeated over and over. They were not thought to be very good the last 4 years or so and they were not very good.
It is an old and worn out trope.

In 2017:
Preseason-12th
Final-10th

It can be said that this worn out saying was true in 2010 and 2013, but that was 10 and 13 years ago.

If they go 7-5 he and the other coaches deserve a BIG bonus.

I think they will do better than that.

He played SECW schedule at OM & Saban’s not going to be around forever. They’ll be competitive again.

I agree with this. If he had brought Matt Luke with him, that would have been a game changer IMO. He was the man quietly responsible for a ton of the success in Oxford.

ETA: I do think Freeze has limitations similar to Gus that will show up over time (plus his off the field problems). Malik Willis’ awful mechanics and complete inability to read a defense after two years at Liberty is a red flag.
