This team looks strong.

Damn Strong Team.

Now don't get overconfident and fuk it up.

Another gem.....
Shouldn't this be on the Tiger Rant? About half of your fanbase has been ready to run him out of town on multiple occasions.

Always have thought Miles is a good coach. Lucky as well, which never hurts.

Talk to me after yall get done with UF, Bama, and Arkansas.

I'll buy that. As of today, I think the best Miles LSU team was the 2006 squad. But this year's model's on the way to being the best ... 3 w's against top 25 teams is a huge way to start the season, innit?

this is the dumbest post i have seen on this board in a long, long time. saban was somehow secretly coaching these guys on the side FOR 4 YEARS. miles was just benefitting from saban's great anonymous coaching

name the coaches who have better results since '05

as for having 2 loss seasons, you have to admit that during miles' time in the sec, the sec west is a BIT OF AN EXCEPTION in the history of college fb

miles has beaten SEVERAL coaches who have national championships. convenient how people leave that out

What's your team's record against that "grass eating clown"?

My memory goes back to the last couple of years of the Stovall era and I'm gonna say that talent wise only '06 and '07 were on the same level. The thing that I like the most about this '11 squad is the way that they keep the pressure on for a full four quarters.

And if Lee keeps improving every week . . . damn.

To be honest....that isn't an unfair statement....

He deserves props for the maintenance and running of the program (which he might be doing better than Saban would have), but he could not have done what Saban did here

Maybe, maybe not. He did turn Oklahoma State around and had the best record there in over 30 years prior to his tenure there. Saban and Miles are both top notch coaches with different styles. But Miles has a better bowl record and better OOC record. He also has a better overall record at LSU than Saban has at either LSU or Alabama. That of course may change, but to say that he couldn't have done what Saban did is purely speculative. LSU really wasn't as bad off as a lot of people think. LSU had a lot of talent when Saban arrived. He just knew how to use it better than DiNardo, and of course, he also is a great recruiter.

i stand corrected. however, you know that this type of argument is made about miles all the time. now it's amended to "saban handed miles the keys to the ferrari".

But...but...Saban won with Dinardo's players, didn't he? Most of Saban's '00 and '01 LSU teams were Dinardo recruits, and also a lot of his '02 and '03 teams as well.
""THAT"" must mean that.....why, the spirit of Dinardo must have been floating behind Saban's headset, whispering what plays to run and what players to put in, right ?????????

Many of Dinardo's recruits from '96-'99 were drafted also...

That's it! And lets not forget the keys to the new Ferrari Saban got from Shula either.
