Agreed. I would not be shocked at all if Arkansas left baton rouge with a win. Alabama was just lights-out yesterday

Shouldn't this be on the Tiger Rant? About half of your fanbase has been ready to run him out of town on multiple occasions.

Easy to say that when LSU hasn't faced a team near as good as Bama yet.

You have your OPINION......But I was shocked at how awful Arkansas looked in actuality after all the HOG HYPE......you guys looked awful, seriously dude. BAMA is good, but any good team would have held them better and scored more.

I have a business contact who worked in the LSU athletic department under Saban for 2 years and Miles for 2 years. From everything he has told me about Miles I am very impressed with him as a person and can understand why he recruits so well.

He said Saban is a "mercedes guy" and Miles is a "town car" guy. Saban's car has to be just so while Miles' car is likely to have a bunch of pictures his kids colored in there. That said, I still think Saban is the better overall coach.

Funny story:

He and a co-worker walked down a hall every day and would see Saban walking head-down every day looking at papers. They always said "Good Morning Coach" as they passed, but Saban never spoke. One day he told his friend he wasn't going to talk to Saban b/c it was obvious Saban ignored them. As they passed him they said nothing. Saban stopped, turned, and said to them, "hey! where's my "good morning" dammit?!" They said he said it with a smile on his face so they could tell he was joking, but they still never felt he was approachable. Miles always seemed approachable though.

LOL who started this thread trying to convince people? All I said is we should let the season play out, and *gasp* I even suggested that the Arkansas game isn't a sure win for LSU. HOW DARE I!?

Yeah I was embarrassed for my ARKY Friends, I have a few, one a former Razorback Player and college coach (not not at Arky).....I really thought Petrino had done something good up there with all the HOG HYPE........I think LSU Tigers can rip
em apart at Thanksgiving..using our second & third string......

Well to be honest I don't think this is Les Miles's best team at all. I think the team led by Matt Flynn was better with more talent. They lost two games because of shitty coaching, but that team was loaded with players. JMO

It's more like saban handed him the keys to apple, it was so built up that anyone could step in and make money.

Except in '04 (Saban's last year) apparently. LSU had so much talent that Saban couldn't muster more than a 9-3 season, losing to Iowa in the Capital One bowl, with Will Muschamp as the DC and Jimbo Fisher as the OC.

We were loaded that year, and every game I went to the opponent fans were complimentary of the LSU players and enormous athleticism even at BAMA that year. Yes, Miles is responsible for those 2 overtime losses. He definately plays down to his oponent, but has slowly learned you can't do that so much in the SEC...hopefully we don't see that this year...I felt like we were heading in that direction last night at UWV 2nd half for awhile. Defense let off and offense kicked in at great times.

If Saban's players beats the non-Saban players on November 5th, I'd say they were right.

Well op I think 03 you won it all, that happens teams lose focus and think about other things. Look at bama last year, no doubt the most talent on a bama squad that I can remember but replaced ten D players and O could not overcome focus problems and did not make plays. I blame Saban for that but I don't think that team was hungry and I think We passed the ball too much. Our Assist Coaches were hungry anymore either. LSU is machine now be proud off it, yes Saban helped build it and Miles has continued it but remember it can leave at any moment. JMO
