This. I have tried to have adult, decent, civil conversation on this forum, but it just won't work. It's a troll-a-thon for the young, mean-spirited, sarcastic, and/or immature. Honest to God, I really have NO idea why I still linger here. I've been on here a year or so, and threaten to leave and never return every other day. It's just a cesspool of trolling garbage.
I guess the name 'rant' says it all. Maybe it was never meant to be anything but a place to come and insult one another.
That being said, I think it would be a wonderful idea to have a forum where adult, decent, civil SEC fans of all fanbases can come together and discuss the great sport of college football without all of the teenage attacks. If anyone knows of a board like that in existance, please let it be known??? This dung-heep will NEVER be that.

OP isn't wrong. The bullshite is out of control. Makes this place unbearable. Have to scroll to page 2 every day just to find one thread worth a frick.

Agreed. Obviously, I was never a power poster if you look at how long I've been here and my post count. Even so, there was a much better ratio of actual discussion to shitposts way back when. Later at night, it got almost downright wholesome around here.
I've always enjoyed a quality shitpost, but it's definitely more quantity than quality now.

Wayyy too many trolls have ruined this site. Worse, they are, for the most part, just dumb. Booze-filled or otherwise, the IQ level here has seriously dropped.

I started posting here regularly after the strong arse offers stuff came out. There was definitely a LOT more actual sports discussion then than there is now.

Rivals CFB Soundoff was this. I quit that site years ago because I was addicted and spending way too much time on it. The community was great and there were only a handful of trolls and shitposters. Not sure if it’s still like that or not. At least with this place, unless you’re one of the immature morons that you refer to, it’s hard to get addicted because this place is an absolute shithole.

I enjoy a good flame board. There aren't many of them around anymore.
Serious discussion is boring and basically consists of guys who think they are experts on football and take themselves way too seriously.

I found this place looking for fan discussion on conference realignment or some shite some actual discussion because Reddit CFB sucks arse literally there is rimming going on there and decided I wanted to be a part of it the Rant BECAUSE its a shithole
