No.

But acting like getting #4 (2019) #6 (2020) and #8 (2021) before getting #1 is just "one great recruiting class" would be a bit of denial, no?

I mean, we still have to win something, but....

A&M has been buying players since the beginning of time and it hasn't helped. Their Trophy Case is a joke.

Easy to incorporate that into NIL if you think about it. Hell, I still remember when I was young getting a job I wasn’t quite qualified for simply because of the ring on my finger.

That CAN'T be true. You weren't smart enough to get into t.u. therefore you have no future.

Jimbo lost 5 games this year. He’s not Nick Saban. Aggys are allergic to winning.

And the people who spent all that money will expect quick results. If that doesnt happen Jimbo might be out on his arse.

I dont see a huge drop off from Alabama or Georgia next year so he will have plenty of competition.

K. Well if he didn't get a great recruiting class he would be expected to win as well. However having more talent makes winning easier.

I hope not, I hope we can find our way in the bidding wars. Until CFB is completely fricked

I guarantee they will not hold onto a lot of the recruits from this year. The transfer portal will equalize some of the NIL woes.

I disagree. We lose a lot on the DL this year, and we have openings at TE and WR as well. QB is definitely not settled. A lot of needs in this class, and those who do transfer will obviously not be playing anyway

Spending all that money to go 8-4 will get old quick.

When Nick Saban started getting the big money boosters back in action in Tuscaloosa for their 2008 class it was obvious that the wins would shortly start piling up after. They'd been scared to bring out the big money guns because they nearly got the death penalty in the early 2000s for getting caught paying a 5 star lineman, Albert Means, out of Memphis.

You poor bastards just can't face the truth!...that being Nick Saban is the best recruiter that's ever stepped onto a football field!
Hell! He told Alabama's AD Mal Moore that he'd hired a horse shite coach, but the best recruiter in the country!

Jimbo beat him on field and in recruiting this year.

I'm sure you realize that the recruiting season isn't over and Alabama has accepted 4 less recruits, so far, than A&M. Also, the avg score per recruit is higher for Alabama.
Putting all that aside, what exactly are you implying?
