Jimbo isn’t Saban
Also simply signing top talent for a great class doesn’t always equal wins. Are they filling needs or just going after star power? Do the players fit the system and culture? Maybe they do, maybe they don’t. But it takes more than star power which is what makes Saban so good.
For example MSU basketball under Stansbury. Loads of final 4 level talent that got NIT results due to cancers on the team like Renaldo Sydney

Biggest difference between aTm and Bama is that Bama is a national brand, aTm is not. No one outside of college station gives a shite about the Aggies.

Especially at the time he won it all in the ACC. Clemson was rising under Dabo, but wasn't who they are today. They were the top of a very top heavy league and then got passed by Clemson.
No disputing that A&M will look better if they can get all this talent on the field... and keep it. The portal and not having to sit makes it much easier to leave. The unknown is whether Jimbo can do much with it to challenge Bama for the West.
Keep in mind, it's not like he hasn't had any talent up to this point at A&M. Yet he is still averaging ~4 L's a year... even when factoring 1 loss last year.

While I agree that they are doing a hell of a job with recruiting/NIL, they still lack the Saban factor. Fisher may have coached with Saban, but nothing Fisher has done to this point makes me think he can duplicate what Saban did.
I’m sure they’ll have some good seasons and may even win a title, but they will never go on a Saban/Bama run bc there are other schools that can pay and recruit just like them.

Unintended consequences are coming. Not saying shite will completely hit the fan in the next few years but I won't be surprised if it does.
