A Grant team would have been blown out tonight. This team has the firepower to play with anyone on a given night, but must be more consistent defensively to make a run.

Bama has a bunch of young pups on the court right now. Avery’s got a huge task ahead of him to get them to gel, but by the end of January they will no longer be wet behind the ears freshmen. I like what I see so far.....a damn good coach building a strong team with a some very talented players. Work to be done, but it’s a process just like anything else.

My God. You seriously think Bama can make the sweet 16? That team will lose in the first round at best. You're lucky the SEC is good this year and ESPN sucks off your coach, because any other year you'd be in the NIT.

Alabama is not making the sweet 16 this season, but just making the tourney is a positive. Avery has his program moving in the right direction, he is building this thing from the ground up and seeing incremental improvement is exciting. They’ve got a long way to go, but it’s exciting to see the upward trajectory.

I'd recommend against making such definitive statements. These freshmen are really, really skilled. How far they get depends on what kind of chemistry they develop and how they adapt to the grind of a full college season but have no doubt there is sweet 16 talent on the floor now.
