Thinking about Kolby Branch this weekend

How hard must it be for Georgia Catcher Kolby Branch, to have to stay in Omaha to watch his brother, Oklahoma 2nd baseman Kyle, play NC for the championship. I’m assuming that Kolby will stay with his family to watch the Finals. I’m also assuming that most kids who get eliminated, want to leave Omaha asap & get home to their family & friends. They probably also try to get away from baseball for a minute. Kolby of course is happy for Kyle, but he’s in a tough position for a 20 year old.

Your troll game is very juvenile

What? I didn’t say anything bad about the Branch family. I don’t get your response. Just pointing out that Kolby is in a unique position that doesn’t happen much, if ever. Do you think that the rest of the Bulldogs are still in Omaha? Relax bro. No disrespect to UGA at all.

Kolby Branch is not the Georgia catcher. Daniel Jackson is. Kolby I think plays Shortstop. Unless Kolby is a jerk, he should be disappointed but very happy for his brother and an opportunity to win a national championship.

These kids get over the disappointment much faster than the fans. It won’t be until he is 50 that he punches the wall about all the little things they could have done to maybe win it

He probably has more testicular fortitude than you so I see how you are confused. He is probably excited to see his brother compete for a championship....

Kolby flew home with Georgia yesterday. He’s likely flying back up to Omaha tomorrow morning

Yeah he’s a senior, maxed out eligibility. Won’t go 1st round though, just not enough consistency in his bat for a SS.
Jackson will go late 1st, early second. Volchko and Lujo will go 2nd or 3rd. Phelps is going to suffer due to not having a natural position at the next level. Ishikawa may end up going back to Japan to play professionally. Jackson, Phelps, Lujo, and Ishikawa have eligibility remaining but any of them coming back would be very surprising at this point.
Vigue could come back but I doubt he will after the showing in Omaha; he was great early in the year and reaffirmed he still has the stuff vs Texas. Matt Scott is out of eligibility, Justin Byrd will likely go draft (hard to keep a proven pitcher for 4 years if they can leverage the final year for a larger signing bonus).
We will also lose Hudson and Black to exhausted eligibility. Return Wynn, Johnson, Peeples, and a few pitchers. Got a pretty decent freshman class coming in but again will go portal heavy to replenish.
I wouldn’t even say we peaked, just completely ran out of gas. Played 67 games and 39 of those ended up being against SEC teams. Eventually you just can’t sustain the energy (mentally and physically) to keep getting off the mat.
