If only there was a board where all LSU fans could go ( and stay there ) to feel safe and secure ! They shouldnt have to venture out and risk their tender sensibilities being hurt. Maybe they could call it something like Tiger Rant ??

Hell this site bought at least one site, or obtained it somehow, or there wouldn't be any UGA fans to speak of on this site. That was back in the dark ages of sites like this but it was a pretty good site...very similar to this one. I suspect this site did something similar for sites of most of the original SEC programs but I don't know that for a certainty...

Hey Rainman....what does Nick Saban, Bear Bryant, Bobby Bowden and Pop Warner all have in common besides being the greatest and winningest coaches in college football history?...they all, at some point in their careers, lost games to teams coached by head coaches that had no where near the wins and success that they had. Those singular victories did not make them better coaches than those great names. If you're implying that because KIrby Smart lost to Golding in one freakun game that somehow suddenly makes PG a better coach, you're an idiot.

nope not at all

What I’m implying is it’s a new era and that Saban, Bryant and Bowden aren’t the top dogs in this era.

Ok, its a new era, but in the last half a decade, KS is 55-9, with 2 natties and 3 SEC championships. Someone with a football IQ at least slightly higher than my mother-in-law would deduce that Kirby is STILL on top.

For the record, I think Golding will make a decent head coach. But I wouldn't be reserving him a spot in the college football hall of fame after seeing him coach 3 whole games and losing one of them.

Curt Cignetti is the top coach in CFB

Curt Cignetti, from 2011 to 2023 was head coach at those bastions of football greatness; Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Elon and James Madison before his current stint at Indiana. He won one national title at Indiana. Congratulations to him, but to annoint him the top coach in cfb is just ignorant.

Ed O won a natty at LSU with a team some feel was the best team of all time...then his program turned into a pit of bog sludge and he was fired 2 seasons later.

Gene Chizik won a natty at Auburn in 2010 and many Auburn fans were crying "dynasty"! 2 seasons later they went 3-9 and he was run off with pitchforks and torches.

Not long ago, everyone was saying ol Dabo at Clemson was solidying his name at the top of the cfb world of coaching greats. Today, he hangs on to his job by a thread.

See what I'm getting at here? Just because a coach has a great season and even wins a natty, to claim they are on top based on one season is just silly.

I guess it just depends on your perspective. It's been pretty entertaining watching you folks furiously move goalposts and wishcast first one way, and then another.

Then there have been all the hypocritical takes by various rival fanbases, and desperate attempts to reframe the narrative.
