I'm thinking a 58 point spread. I'm sure this game is bookmarked by Saban. 59-0 may be revisited.

Probably accurate

Most of the SEC is expected be down this year (other than Alabama). If the west is down otherwise then A&M and MSU may contend for #2 in the division. I don't expect great teams from Auburn, LSU, or Florida

Tennessee should be in contention for the second best team in the east. Maybe Georgia matures by the championship game - we'll see if they have a hangover from 2021.

What is the line against for the rest of the games?

I wouldn’t expect to see much of Hall or Robinson. Neyor is the dude to watch opposite Worthy and JT Sanders at TE.

Texas’ best chance is to make it a high scoring affair similar to some of those recent Bama/ole miss games

Interesting thing for Texas with the early lines is they are favored over both Oklahoma and @Oklahoma State

Only game they are a dog in so far is bama

Alabama is going to take a few steps back on the offensive production they've enjoyed over the past four years. I doubt they get in any shootouts unless the opponent has a terrible defense.

If the OL produces and Bryce stays healthy, Bama will have one of if not the most efficient offense in America.

QB: Heisman winner
RB: Doak Walker candidate with 4 top 100 backs playing different roles
WR: Burton/Harrell and a laundry list of top 100 backups

I think Bama will be just fine next year if OL is functional.

I would take Ark plus points. Bama minus points at Texas. Probably sit the others out.

That would make sense if they didn’t make millions of dollars every year off of suckers who always think they know more than the odds makers

Lol..Burton is a possession receiver. He compares favorably to Metchie. The “top 100” is subjective and it damn sure ain’t the top 100 as in years past with guys like smitty, ruggs or waddle.
If they’re loaded at wr, why did they have to steal a guy from Louisville?

Nah, the Ags have Jimbo’s back. It will depend on who A&M’s QB is. We need a dangerous runner who is accurate and makes quick decisions. The ONLY QB who meets all 3 is Connor Weigman. Will Jimbo turn reigns over to a true Fish?

We’ll see.

QB: Multiple Heisman Candidates

WR: Multiple Biletnikoff candidates

Admittedly, Bama's chances of the OL producing are a little bit higher...but we do have a pretty good OL coach.

Burton -> Metchie role
Harrell -> Williams role

If Burton compares favorably to Metchie who put up a 95/1140/8 line and went in the 2nd despite blowing out his knee in the NC, I’ll take that all day.

As far as the rest, I’d agree that there were roughly two classes that were misses at WR so far, which along with the incredible NFL churn is why there was a need for transfers.

Regardless, you have two solid starters to pair with 5* Jacorey Brooks who beat AU last year.

Then you have Earle/Leary and Anderson/Bond/Preston/Law who were all top 100 guys who get a full year to learn the ropes while fighting for a 3/4 spot in the rotation and I’m not seeing the issue.

In fact while that group isn’t Smith/Ruggs/Jeudy/Waddle, it will be a top 5 group in the nation.
