LOL at people who live in Alabama and West Georgia bitching about tournament sites.

Get shot? Lol, what/who are you planning on getting involved with in stl? I never understand that stupid argument from people. Random shootings aren't where those statistics come from. It's people who know each other beefing about dumb shite, usually illegal shite, and it happens in areas where you would obviously not be hanging out as a tourist. Like a gangster in stl is going to just randomly shoot you? Come on. Your odds of getting shot in Alabama by a stupid redneck Bama fan after you win the iron bowl is more likely to happen.

I think it should be in Nashville every year, cool city too. I think the reason they put it in StL was to force Nashville to up their bidding to host it in the future.

I don't care where it is. People making dumbass comments like that about a city is retarded. Name one time a fan has been shot in nola during any event. The only criminal stuff that has happened has been stupid redneck Bama fans that don't know how to control themselves and end up teabagging a passed out lsu fan. It's just dumb. Like your odds of randomly getting shot in Stl or new Orleans are any better than in atlanta? Gtfo. It's when these country mfers come down here and don't know how to handle themselves is when dumb shite happens.

Yeah I've been to Nola many times as a tourist and never had any problems.

Bro, I've lived there and in br my entire life and haven't had any problems. It's just dumb.

Phillips Arena or Bridgestone.
Bham need to get their shite together and upgrade the BJCC what it should be in this day and age.. It's not bad but it's not great either... If they want to become serious about hosting events other than state championships, they need to get things done

Why would they? Birmingham has no pro sports teams and never will. It's not in a pro sports state or city. New Orleans has it bc it hosts major events regularly and is an attractive city to host a big event like that, and we have the pelicans and the saints...birmingham, lol. Honestly, who says "hey, let's go to Birmingham Alabama to spend money and have a good time"? There's no comparison.
The bjcc is a shot hole man btw. Compare it to the smoothie king center or the superdome and then change your opinion.

Do your math right

I think having it in STL is going to be awesome. You might say I’m a little biased though

frick Hoover. There’s tons of money to be made on SEC Baseball, and stadiums throughout the Southeast much nicer than Hoover.
The only legit argument I hear is they have large RV lots. That type of shite can be accommodated in some of these other places.
Atlanta
Pick a place in Florida...there’s tons
New Orleans
And the downtown views of Nashville and Memphis are more appealing than a parking lot in Alabama

Meanwhile, in St Louis, businesses that support law enforcement are being violently threatened: LINK

Damn that’s crazy that college Station and Gainesville are the same distance. Would not think that off the top of my head.
They are not. Gainesville is about 125 miles farther from STL than College Station. OP sucks at math and geography.

I like the feel of events when they have a permanent home. They become more of a tradition and feel like they have more history IMO. And I think Nashville is a fantastic location. It is a fun city in a fairly central location with a great facility. I'd be in favor of Nashville being the permanent home and I think a lot of people agree.
That being said,I understand people wanting to see it move to various places in the conference footprint. The SEC seems to be attempting a compromise where Nashville is the semi-permanent home (hosting three out of years) and they rotate the other years.
After Nashville I think the most desirable locations are Atlanta, New Orleans, and Memphis.
Other places seem like more of a stretch either because of non-central location, less desirable place for a trip, or lesser facilities. But I guess like once a decade you could do places like Tampa, Louisville, Birmingham, Orlando, or Dallas.

Part of the issue is probably having a major airport in the town hosting.
So SEC footprint gets limited pretty quickly.
Nashville, New Orleans, a few locations in Florida (Tampa in 2022), Atlanta, Houston and St. Louis.

Tier 1
Nashville
Atlanta
New Orleans
Tier 2
Dallas - would be Tier 1 if it wasn't so far away from the other schools.
Louisville
Memphis
St. Louis
FWIW, I see no reason for the tournament ever having to escape Tier 1...

New Orleans has about the same number of SEC schools within 4-5 hours that St. Louis does.
I wouldn’t expect to see the MBB tournament back in STL for some time. I think it was a bone they threw to Missouri when we entered the league. The angst it has caused is amusing.
