And TD/SECr posters will bash him for years claiming he's "one of the worst Heisman winners ever" despite how badass he is.

Henry will deserve his award, Ingram will maintain his hold on the above for many years to come.

I mean, you can debate it, but Derrick will hoist the evidence.

Derrick Henry may very well be the best running back in the history of college football

Henry has been great this season, I'm not going to deny him that. However, calling him the "best of his generation" when Fournette put up almost identical stats as a sophomore and will have a very good chance to surpass them as a junior is ignorant.

That wasn't the point of this thread though, so troll on.

Dude is a beast.

There was a thread earlier in the year asking if he was better than Ingram, Richardson, Lacy and Yeldon. Originally I said he was on the same level as the first three, as I believe all three of those guys would have put up the same numbers Henry has if they didn't have an almost equally talented guy behind him on the depth chart to spell them. Henry didn't have a Richardson or Lacy or Yeldon behind him this year.

Boogers vision is similar to Trents. He is pretty good, but hasn't looked dominate like he did against the weakest rush defenses in the NCAA where he wasn't touched until 5 plus yards down field.

I have to cling to my narrative at this point. I made outlandish claims that have actually come to fruition. LF is pretty good too.

Exactly. All these Bama backs are virtually identical and in the same offensive scheme (I guess you could say last year was little bit different due to style of play).

Henry is benefiting from not having a quality backup + a down year for other teams at offensive skill positions

Ingram benefited from a really down year for other skill positions.

Just because you keep saying this doesn't make it true.

Did I just see a bama fan say that Derrick freaking Henry is the best cfb running back of all time?

So he's better than Tony Dorsette, Barry sanders, Archie Griffin, AP, Herschel, Ron Dayne, and Ricky Williams were? Are y'all dead serious? shite he's not even top 10 in the all time rushing list in the SEC only

Henry averaged 179 yards a game in conference play. Pretty strong. Compared to other top backs this year:

Fournette - 139
Elliot - 152
Cook - 135
McCaffery - 158

He's very Heisman-worthy, regardless of the criteria you prefer.

If by "best" you mean top 2 and by "of this generation" you mean in 2015 in the SEC West, then I agree with you.
